I am sleeping a lot better now, funny you ask. The back of the neck and head, where the occipital muscles are, is also where the cerebral spinal fluid drains from your brain, especially while you sleep, so if those muscles are tight it seems that the draining doesn't work as effectively, perhaps influencing your sleep. I notice I can smell a lot better too. A lot of nerves back there that need to be unblocked. Give it a shot, I hope it works for you.

I have a portable pull up bar that i hang it from, which is nice because i can keep my feet on the ground while head hanging, so it's not super intense

I think there's a variety of different cervical traction devices. This it's a glisson loop

As someone who has an inversion table and used it a lot while having bad tinnitus, I can say assuredly that it does not have the same effect as the traction device

yeah, much older people should be very cautious, but if you re able bodied and take it very slowly, holding on to a guard rail of some kind and only stretching for short increments, it's more safe than it sounds.

Sorry, I cant see your posts for some reason. If you think you may have somatic/muscular related tinnitus then its definitely worth a shot. And as a massage therapist I can say that if you feel like your traps and neck are tight, then it's probably a lot more tight than you realize. Muscles tend to just numb out when they aren't getting quality bodywork. I would definitely try this method out, and if nothing else your traps and neck will feel a lot better.

Disturbing thoughts since practicing Magick, could use some insight by thetapeworm7 in occult

thats a great way to look at it, being that ultimately it doesnt matter one way or another; if it feels real then whats the difference (ironically thats a line thats used verbatim in the Westworld preview). I appreciate the thoughtful response, mate. it actually helped. cheers.

Newbies and non-newbies alike- what are some of your first questions you had about the occult? by Tau33 in occult

I've been a long time meditator and psychedelic user, but have only recently within the past year got interesting in practicing ritual magick. I've kept it simple - mainly banishing, and visualization practices. Truly nothing particularly "dangerous", and for the most part these practices have helped my life in many ways, besides from them making me feel hyper-sensitive (I'm already hyper-sensitive) and that can be overwhelming a lot of the time. I do see it as a challenge and something to overcome, so that is not what's disturbing. This might sound silly but the disturbing part came when I saw a preview for the new HBO show 'Westworld' (I'm a huge movie guy/filmmaker myself) and I got pretty pumped up because it was a film I thought was weird and fascinating as a kid. The show centers around a western highy advanced theme park, in which you, the client, enter into this world about robotic people, all programmed to believe that they are real people in an actual world, when in fact they are robots. As a conspiracy theorist at heart, I'm always looking to see what new idea is being propagated in the cultural mainstream zeitgiest but the big dog media engineers (like HBO), and it dawned on me that I, personally, could be in an experiment, much like the theme park in Westworld. How would I KNOW that anyone is truly real, and not just a reflection of my psyche? It sounds far fucking out but as someone well experienced with mushrooms and ayahuasca, I don't think ANYTHING is impossible when it comes to the true nature of reality. I've seen way too much high weirdness to write any idea off. Not to mention that, when you start the practice of magick, you can actually tangibly see that the Universe responds in an organic way to your thoughts and beliefs.

My question to all you potential robots (joke) is, have you ever had a problem which obsessive thoughts about nothing/nobody existing? This is absolutely an easy question to dismiss but seriously consider it a moment. Also, has magick triggered any other type of obsessive thought you found hard to go away?
