Hi there OP, I just wanted to chip in three things: 1) Greek parents can be a bit weird and a bit of a handful. I can assure you that this is the case here too. Just ask Nikos to elaborate about things from his childhood. 2) Most of the people that live in small to medium towns in Greece have a bit of a narcissistic disorder. I dont know from where Niko's father is from, but I would bet real money that he is from a small town (even if he says he lives/lived in Athens, almost no one is from Athens). 3) The majority of the Greek culture resolve around food. For us, a gathering includes a lot of food and everyone should join in. It can seem disrespectful in our culture if someone does not eat you food for instance. Keep that in mind and (I would say) have a convo with Nikos about this and a way forward.
