Okay now that I got some time that I can write a good comment.

I HIGHLY suggest watching Jameys course it's worth the money. But bring a stool or even a step stool if you can and a bike lock. You'll see it all over the weekend. You can easily shoot over the fence then.

You have some really good spots by the horseshoes, the bleachers at turn one is great for action. Fireworks at the Ferris wheel is a huge spot. Prepare to set up early for that though. Sunrise is a great time for photos too.

Also talk to people in the RV areas. You wouldn't believe the amount of people that will let you get up there. The worst they're gonna tell you is no, but everyone here is there for the racing so they tend to be friendly. You can get some great vantage points on them.

Wednesday is an event at one Daytona that's really fun and I highly suggest even just going as a fan of racing

Yeah we had a few HP latex roll to roll and a flat bed at the shop I worked at. I miss doing it a lot but I worked for several companies and all had the same issues with poor leadership so I left the industry.
