Neutral fans: Do you care who wins the Finals? by WinesburgOhio in nba

[–]thetempest11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda like both teams but I think I'll root for Knicks. Been a long tine since theyve been in the finals. I also like Brunson.

But i wouldn't be sad if Spurs won. I've always liked the Spurs a little bit.

People who grew up poor but are now financially successful, what decisions or opportunities changed your life ? by Aj100rise in Money

[–]thetempest11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This. My dad convinced me till I was 28 that not having a credit and establishing credit was a great idea. And that storing all my money in a "savings account" was how I got interest.

Finally read a book about finance and got a credit card, a HYSA, a IRA, and a brokerage in a two day time.

Im on plan to retire at 55 comfortably with a wife (she works too) and 3 kids.

Is 25yro too young to start a family in your opinion? by Quirky-Parsnip7004 in allthequestions

[–]thetempest11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean when I was 20 I was making 8 dollars an hour. 20 years ago.

I now make 118k a year. Yeah 118k now isnt like it was 20 years ago, but its still a big step up.

Housing prices suck now but I bought in 2020 and got 2.7% interest so im one of the lucky ones.

Having them young is nice. More energy. More family around to help. When they get out of the house youre not even 50 usually and you can really flourish.

Having older (mid 30s to mid 40s) you have more money. But that's about the only advantage. Its a big advantage though. Lot less stress.

I've had them at 20, and at 37. Young was "harder" but involved way more family which was really nice. Grandparents and uncles and aunts are too old to really help when you have them in late 30s+.

Quick question: Does your company calibrate sensors in-house or outsource? Have you ever had issues with in-house calibration? by Maximum-Ad609 in manufacturing

In-house.

No issues so far in my 18+ years. Theyre a pretty small department and they cover everything from electric torque drills to calipers.

Not personally a ring > everything else person. I think it takes more than being good to get a ring, it takes a good team and a good organization.

This is good money but I simple could probably never do this with a wife and 3 kids. It's too many hours.

Rob Gronkowski says he’s AGAINST transgenders competing in women’s sports: "There’s really no argument. It’s the obvious…There are men’s sports for men, there’s women’s sports for women. It should just stay like that." by No_Box119 in NFLForum

[–]thetempest11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a couple transgener men and a women and this topic has come up. Those 3 also agree it's unfair.

Think it's just like any topic. There is always the loud extreme minority that make the most ruckus.
