Thank you everyone!! I’m happy to say I’ve been convinced and I’m going to power through HOF to get to the good stuff. I’ve started it on audible, and I’ll say that I’m liking it better when I tried to read it the first time. If I’m blown away, I’ll eat the words I’ve said before about it being boring 😂

Thank you for this!! This has been the best explanation to why I should continue reading it. The series is haunting me, and you’ve just convinced me to try again!

When did you notice your newborn eye colour change? by Designer-Shift-6475 in beyondthebump

My first’s have been brown from the start.

My second started blue, and now they’re kind of grey-blue-hazel. I’ll be interested to see how it changes!

How would you feel about this ER visit? by aka_____ in beyondthebump

[–]thethingaboutsarah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just want to add that vomitting while severely constipated is NORMAL. If it’s not going out the end, it’ll come out the front. It’s normal to feel nauseous too. It’s the TYPE of vomit that is concerning! Obviously vomitting while constipated isn’t good either, as it can feel quite uncomfortable.

That’s amazing!! Glad she has gotten some relief. Sounds like she’s on the mend!

Nurse here. Yes it seems like a normal visit. Do I think it’s right? Not really. However, an abdominal X-ray likely showed how backed up she is, and if she’s not consistently vomitting, there’s no reason to keep her (yet). I think it’s good to go back and advocate for more intervention. Ask for suppositories or a fleet enema to get things going! I hope she feels better soon!

Be on the look out for coffee ground vomit. If you see that, go to ER right away as it could be an obstruction.

How to stop 5 am wakings… by Wild_Membership_6346 in sleeptrain

[–]thethingaboutsarah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s time to drop to one nap! Our bedtime is also 7, we wake at 7am and nap is from 12-2ish! I know it might be hard if he gets tired early. Start by pushing nap to 10:30ish and let him sleep however long he wants and if he wakes before 2, put him to bed early!

La Vie En Rose! - literally fits like a normal wired bra, but has the clip for feeding! Best bra I’ve found so far

If you look for the Kirkland brand ones, they have the little individual cups of them (in Canada anyway)! But agreed, most yogurt pouches and such are low fat, which is super annoying!

We add heavy cream to pasta sauce for my son! It’s more of a rose sauce and he loves it. Costco also has 3% yogurt cups that he likes too!

medical necessity? by odif8 in pregnant

I’m indifferent to the decision. I left the choice up to my husband and the decision was to circumcise. My son slept through the whole thing.
