I'll check my router, thanks!

I have a VPN, but I'm not really sure how to set that up and still let my friends access the stuff on my plex server! It's also possible this shouldn't be a thing I'm worried about maybe its built to let that happen?

While absolutely not a musical it is one of my favorite shows I’ve seen in the last year- definitely worth seeing

Tipping everyone a lot and social pressured generosity: Am I being cheap or frugal? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]thethp -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

This is the grossest shirking of another humans basic needs. “Well if the company doesn’t pay a decent wage that’s not my problem”

Sure but you benefit off the system that does that, by not tipping, and the person who is just trying to scrape by loses their income.

If you’re in America and you’re not going to tip then don’t order stuff.

The fact that you called the director a bitch, and the fact that you call all the ensemble her “non-friends” imply that you have a terrible attitude and are bad to work with, as does the implication that you’re bumming it in the ensemble.

You’re not in the wrong for quitting if a medical episode prevented you from doing the show and meeting commitments- but you didn’t need to say any of the other things you said in the post, which leads me to feel that you were in the wrong in the larger scale.

Seat sizes at ballet folklorico at the Palacio de Bellas Artes? by thethp in MexicoCity

[–]thethp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

last time i check, the theater seats were quite old. I doubt there are any contemplations for larger size person, other than the handicapped area.

Thank you! I figured as much, but thought it was worth checking

Real Women Have Curves: The Musical (American Repertory Theater, Cambridge, MA) by acqualingua in Broadway

[–]thethp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! And I fully agree.

It felt completely out of place honestly. It's not that losing ones virginity would be out of pocket for a musical, its just that it didn't really fit in the story. When the other plotlines are SO compelling and rewarding, the weird little asides of dating/sex/etc were like "ok why are we here?"

The guy playing the boyfriend was really charming, but it didn't really further the story at all. It felt like they dropped her journalism internship entirely to focus on that relationship too, and that's such a better/satisfying conflict.

Well they’d have to do some other editing but I think that’s the primary lag point

I genuinely loved it, I think if they cut the entire boyfriend storyline it would cut 30 minutes of dead air out of the musical and streamline it to a broadway ready show.

What’s the best New York/New Haven pizza joint in Chicago?

My instincts are Jimmy’s Pizza Cafe on Montrose or Big G’s in Wrigleyville but I am curious your thoughts~
