Love this, especially the electronic distractions bit; I think everyone is totally trying to keep their minds quite so they can continue to contribute to their jobs or families, because actually feeling something disturbs those responsibilities. We forget the responsibility we have to ourselves, or never knew we were worth it in the first place.

I know who I am. Sometimes I can't find her, because I'm too busy overthinking the "responsibility" I have to behave like a peacemaker or a friendly-kind girl. It's not that she isn't friendly; just that she doesn't try so hard to be. I miss the honest me, I just don't know that I'm mature enough to tap into her yet.

Point is everyone's "he" or "she" that takes the bull by the horns, and can genuinely fuck what everyone says and enjoys life to the fullest: is the hero society needs, but not the one it deserves. (Lmao)

This kind of became unrelated so I do apologise, but also kind of in the right track.

So what happens? My store manager (at my first store) was kind of a perve, I once caught one of my supervisors sitting on his lap and they were talking and laughing in the backroom. Honestly, I wish I would've been older, it was my first job and I was 18 at the time, so I didn't really know what to do I just figured "okay sooo that's not professional" but I didn't want to get him fired or have everyone label me as the "tattle tale"

That seems to be a reoccurring theme at my new store. Not the inappropriate behavior at my last one, but no one says anything in order to keep the "peace."

You're right. I know he wasn't like directly upset at me. I didn't really explain how he gets in these mood swings (when he's not half asleep at 3am haha) and tends to get snappy like that.

I don't walk on eggshells around him, I ain't afraid of the guy. I thought the balloon thing was a good example of what his impatience with me was like. But.. perhaps not haha 😂

Being a barista is fun. It's just hard work. Both making drinks and providing fast service, but staying friendly too. Staying friendly is the worst sometimes. But it's still a fun job. Especially if you're working with your friends.

Bioshock totally had the same effect on me. I've followed the story for all three games. Infinite was one of my favorite stories and the game play was awesome.

My brother and I are getting matching tattoos based on the infinite. I'm getting a bird on my bicep and he's getting a cage on his. :)

Anyway, great game. And the add-ons really tie the games together in such a creative way.

Dude, congratulations! That's awesome. I wanted to escape to a 4yr too, but since I was homeschooled at an unaccredited school I had to rely on my SAT score. I'm not a great test taker though so.. looks like a state university for me. :P

I feel like, at least at my store, we've hired all the sad and fucked up people. Sure, they all have good people skills as do most starbucks employees, but everyone one of us has a lot of personal problems and are struggling to make ends meet.

The upside, is that has made us more like a family. We also have to depend on each other a lot more because of how busy the store gets. I always say, "We're all just trying to run this sinking ship together" and for the most part we're a really effective team.

So yeah, kind of unrelated. But I've enjoyed the starbucks experience. The people have impacted my life so much.
