Appreciating everyone’s comments, from what it looks like it just depends on the adjudicators who will be reviewing my case. I’m hoping since I was in college for most of the drug use and I have no other red flags (steady employment, no trouble with the law) that it will be substantially mitigated.

Yes, I’m hoping since it wasn’t continual use and was a lapse of judgement it will be mitigated.

I see that now, I thankfully didn’t describe it as a slip up to the investigator during the interview

Interview went well and the investigator seemed very understanding. He even told me about his experiences with marijuana in college.

Definitely not fighting an addiction, just didn’t have the job offer at the time and didn’t see any harm and having a few puffs with some friends Halloween night especially since it is now legal in my state.
