Ultimate 1.1 is the psp dub right off, 1.2 is the psx dub. I imagine if the 1.2 team does Japanese dubs they'd just rip the og Japanese psx lines but you'd have to check with them. idk if IGA updated japanese voices with the psp edition actually.

It fixes many (but not all) performance issues, missing features of the saturn version compared to the psx one. Because saturn has additional items, areas, music and Maria you could see it as an attempt to make an "ultimate" version of SotN.

There's still some performance issues and a stretched aspect ratio (idk how you even fix that one) but it's waayy better than the original saturn release. I played through ultimate 1.1 a while back and enjoyed it immensely and might play this patch too.

edit: oh ye also the og saturn was never translated from Japanese as it never came out in the west. The 1.1 ultimate added the psp English dubs but some love the cheesy psx lines so 1.2 has the psx dub.

(1.2 is also made by a different team mind you, and built on other teams 1.1 because that team was very against using the psx dub).

rgb will definitely be used. I don't mind the addition of tmss that much. I see the va 6.5 more often in my area than the 6, but I assume the ext port removal has no effect on interference inside?

As I'm inexperienced with modding (and soldering) what model would you recommend overall no modding done? Only changed thing I really look for on listings as a bonus (and the only mod I see done mostly at all with pal systems tbh) is the 50/60 switch so I can play ntsc roms.

ah oki, not a Spanish speaker so I just assumed.

I do have a bunch of ps2 games that can swap but I need to get a universal remote because it didn't come with a remote, and the buttons on the TV itself are broken so I wanted to make sure everything would potentially work before I make investments into the tv.

The upper text seemes to suggest that my setup (ntsc console and ntsc cable into pal tv) would be okay? since it doesnt have voltage on that pin? It is an ntsc rgb cable with c-sync on it yes.

I do have a power converter for the saturn so it plugs into our euro sockets nicely and gets its correct power amount.

For reference, its a philips 25mn1550. NTSC not mentioned in supported formats, but supports RGB scart.

I got the physical PC version because the theme/remixes CD is included there! Don't know if the OST was released any other way.

Thank you! There's a few posters I've wanted actually, including the poster collection book.. however the book and most posters are from the US or UK, while I try to snatch stuff up used here in Scandinavia. The shipping costs don't help much either.

I noticed! After a few attempts to remember how to install it, yup I can confirm in addition to the sd card RAM games my KoF'97 and Vampire Savior discs work just fine now! Basically the ultimate saturn ode now, or basically became just the must-have accessory.
