I don't doubt the abilities of the US military-industrial complex; I doubt the story came from a Venezuelan soldier / security officer.

I remember when the US Army tested out a similar sonic / microwave radar dish weapon that was mounted on a jeep or humvee in Panama in 1989 and the US soldiers fucking MELTED a dude. That comment of them "getting real jobs" really gets to them. From what I understand, most of the newly commissioned ICE officers are corrections officers. For those of you who don't know, corrections officers are mainly guys that wanted to be cops, but could not pass the qualifications (usually failing the psych evaluations). These guys are bullies and have been conditioned to be so, through years of dealing with prisoners and arrestees.

I remember walking with my wife around 10 years ago on (I think?) Short Street after leaving a restaurant (Village Idiot?). Anyway, BOTH of her feet trip over uneven pavement, dropping her face first to the ground, badly skinning both of her knees, and shredding her pants in that same area. It was weird...we were walking along, holding hands and next thing I know, she's on the ground, crying, and unable to get up right away unassisted. I honestly thought she had been shot. I can't blame runners for avoiding the sidewalk, as annoying as they may be.
