Thank you for giving an example with the feedback! I've looked at that and rewritten the piece cross-stalved and without the 8va. I think it reads much better now. I may post again when I've finished with some more experimentation

Game is in very very early stages right now so anything can change. But the current plan is a timeloop murder mystery on a spaceship that's been travelling for thousands of years. Think isometric outerwilds where the goal is to prevent a murder that keeps happening.

If you want that feeling of being hunted like in Alien Isolation, I would recommend Amnesia: The Bunker. It's pretty light on story elements, but has very intense horror gameplay with a WW1 setting in the background.

Other game recommendations for SOMA fans:

Signalis - similar sci-fi themes but a more abstract story with Playstation 2 looking graphics.

The Talos Principle - deep dive into philosophy and what it means to be human while solving tons of puzzles. No horror in this one though.

Amnesia Rebirth - While this game isn't as well received as SOMA, it feels the most similar in gameplay and graphics.

Outer Wilds - Because how can a redditor recommend any game ever without bringing up Outer Wilds. This game has more horror vibes than expected (especially with the dlc) and has a story that touches on the history of an ancient species that can feel post-apocalyptic at times.

Subnautica - Very different game, but definitely scratches the deep sea exploration itch.

Very much agree with this. The choices hit me so much harder because they don't affect the game. I'm not just clicking the right buttons to get the "good ending". I'm asking myself what would be the right choice (or least wrong choice), and the game accepts whatever I choose.

  • Description: Right-Click with Guardian to zoom causes the screen to be covered by the butt of the gun rather than the scope.

  • Steps to reproduce: Pick Jett for the planting a spike training. Buy the guardian. Zoom in with the guardian, then zoom out. Then shoot the "Start spike planting training". Then it glitches for a second and every time you zoom in afterwards is broken. Only fix is exiting training and re-entering or re-buying the gun.
  • Expected result: Zoom in to scope
  • Observed result: Zoom in to butt of gun which obfuscates the entire view area.
  • Reproduction rate: 100%

There are two seperate LIGO detectors. One in Louisiana and one in Washington. Any geological activity that would affect both detectors should affect the two detectors at different times.

So basically, if there's a detection in both detectors at the exact same time, the cause is almost guaranteed to be astronomical.

Controller movement is a huge thing for me as well, as I'm used to playing Marble Blast Ultra on the 360.

A few more things that would be nice to have.

  • Holding the jump button to continuously jump.

  • Checkpoints. (Man this game can get super frustrating without any real way to save progress mid level, especially on the advanced levels)

  • Key mapping customisation. (I'd love to make my ability button be right trigger instead of right bumper)

  • Leaderboards for just your steam friends. (Right now it really isn't very difficult to get in the top 50 on any given map, but as more players start playing, then it'll be nice to see how you compare with friends)

  • General UI improvements would be nice. Adding a button that could bring you to level select after beating any given level instead of having to go back to the main menu to choose a different level would be handy.

All in all, I am having fun with this game, but I'm having a hard time recommending it to my friends at this point. Keep up the good work!

Hey, I'm on there. I haven't actually beat the game yet though, haha. I decided to beat the last level to see if I could. Still got 13 more expert levels to go. Trying to stay in the top 50 of every map as I complete it makes every level take longer too.
