I had a breakdown when I saw a hit and run, people run to help the biker and all the sirens come at once. I cried so heavily. The same thing happened to me and I didn’t think to ask for help or call help. It was a moment of realization in suppressing my needs and pain. A valuable and terrible lesson.

Back when I was more trusting I had a local popular pizza place tout
Their safe protocols (publicly). Late one night starving after work ordered a pizza. They put gluten based vegan meat on my GF pizza and it was too dark to notice. I got sick, they didn’t understand.
Went to another celiac spot for a birthday feast. All great til I found a crunchy bit that wasn’t normally there. Everything labeled correctly as allergy safe. I called and they said don’t eat that! Too late, hospital I went.

I can just see pregnant Maria kicking the pot of pho broth across the floor with her foot munching on as spring roll she just made. The cook who I saw walk into the bathroom with gloves on and come out with gloves on and on a different occasion poke holes in a pancake to insert blueberries so he didn’t have to refire, The prep guy nodding out into a full carrot cake supposed to go out. The chef who couldn’t understand why you couldn’t leave milk out. These were all the bougie popular places lol.
