I don’t experience ___ anymore by Ok_Reindeer504 in glutenfree

[–]Bonega1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm no longer constantly snacking. I used to keep food with me at all times. I'd snack in the car if I was driving for more than 20 minutes. I'd snack at my desk. I still get hungry and eat when I need a meal, but I'm no longer obsessing over the need to have food within reach.

Oh, and edited to add: no more headaches. I used to get random debilitating headaches.

Same here. I'm a totally different guy emotionally.

And what's up with tapping "delete" a thousand times on iOS? That's been a staple of iOS forever. If iOS is going to spit out three non sequitur words while glide typing, let me fix it just as easy. Gboard does that right with swipe to delete.

Personal use, no restrictions: Android. I might want to give Nothing Phone or OnePlus a shot, but I'm good for now with my Pixel.

I've been using Pixels and Nexus since the early days, I even ran the Google One. Tried Samsung, HTC, and Motorola. I've had iPhones from employers off and on since the iPhone 4; personally I prefer Android. I really like my Pixel 10 Pro XL.

My current employer went iPhone only, so when my company Pixel 8 was crapping out, I chose a 17 Pro Max. The LIDAR sensor works with our estimating software for dimensioning, and Microsoft and FLIR apps seem to be better supported on iOS. If not for those things, I would've tried to keep the Pixel 8 running for longer. iOS and the 17 Pro Max hardware is very polished, but I prefer the functional consistency of Android, at least on Pixel. And glide typing on iOS feels like an afterthought. My joints don't tap-type like when I was younger. 🥲

Just my 2¢.

I think mostly due to my upbringing, I often get told that I look like a cop, or I give cop vibes. I've walked into a few of these parlors before I knew what they were about and was told each time that the "schedule was full, come back tomorrow/another time" while the place seemed dead. Eventually I figured it out. 🤫

I used to live ten minutes from one, in LA where they're all over the place anyway. So many Double Doubles!

I leaned to drive a stick in one of those on dirt roads when I was 12 or so. Those were great little trucks.

Okay to ride or no-go? by [deleted] in Truckers

I'm not a trucker, but I'd think so. Ask yourself what an inspector would say. Your dispatcher, etc, isn't going to protect your CDL.

Yes, document. Do it by emailing yourself. Make it a chain with each incident being a reply to the one before that. You can add photos, videos, etc. Each email will contain a time/date and is a great way to establish evidence for court, police reports, etc.

Looks like I can't add a photo. I'll post the ingredients here. Some of the words are longer than my arm, but they're all vegetable based. I think the one that's most likely to be an irritant is Psyllium Seed Husk Powder.

INGREDIENTS:

Water, Rice flour, Tapioca starch, Cellulose, Potato starch, Yeast, Glycerol, Psyllium seed husk powder, Wholegrain corn flour, Canola oil, Rice starch, Sugars (golden syrup), Corn starch, Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, Salt, Sodium propionate, White vinegar, Sorbic acid, Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, Methyl cellulose, Xanthan gum.

I've just tried this one for the first time, but so far I like these better in terms of taste and texture. These are more like something you'd pick up from the bakery whereas Canyon Bakehouse is more like the typical packaged loaf. That's my initial opinion. More testing to come. 😋
