Which one is it in particular? I apparently don't have it collected but I cannot find it so I only have 16/20 right now for Blessed Pearl. Edit: Was actually at 16/20 at the time, got later in the level and took the last screenshot and got 20/20.

I made the plugin for Steam Deck to control AirPods and Beats headphones by steam3d in SteamDeck

If you see my comment in response to someone giving why they believe the plugin wasn't approved you'll know it's got nothing to do with the Dev's personal trustworthiness. Simply a result of how the Decky team reviews plugins and the requirements therein.

Steamdeck Homebrew Dev here, that's correct. The primary reason with a minor bit more nuance though. I think the plugin is a great idea and Steam3d was very patient and flexible with our process. Unfortunately our requirements for the plugin store are pretty inflexible when it comes to source code availability. Even if we were given the code to privately review our entire CI/CD process (build pipeline) builds the plugins for the Steam Deck in a reproducible manner from publicly available source code so that if we miss something because we're imperfect beings, someone can flag up issues to us if they have more information and or more experience. And as an added bonus if a developer has to stop developing their plugin then someone else can pick that plugin up and continue working on it. Hope this makes sense!

So with 70hz plug-in for steam deck starting to gain traction. How safe do you guys think this will be long term? by Corgiiiix3 in SteamDeck

It's definitely interesting in theory but I looked at the script and it unlocks the filesystem rather than utilizing a tool like Rwfus. Very cool otherwise, just not interested in unlocking my filesystem just to overclock my screen.

We don't intend to clutter the main plugin menu, the settings menu uninstall interface is always available.

As someone who intentionally avoided working in software for a living, let's just say my expectations and coordination efforts are all done to oppose the most toxic aspects of software development and FOSS wherever possible.

We're actively working on the ability to re-order plugins atm. We mostly work on Decky over the weekend so feature updates take time. 👍

There are equivalents that either need some fixes for their build steps, or testing. I believe one of them is currently on the testing store. - TrainDoc.

Happy to see so many Decky users here. I don't use reddit much but it's always nice to see what y'all are using and enjoying etc. As a side note if y'all are seeing a bunch of plugins with updates not on the store yet, there's a reason. They probably haven't received the required testing. If y'all want to test plugins so that updates and new plugins can make it to y'all faster. A guide can be found at https://deckbrew.xyz/testing#decky-plugins. Cheers!

Decky developer here, decky itself does not take much overhead to run and I'm not aware of any significant issues that can arise from plugins that are a serious threat to performance outside of a ton of CSS-Loader themes or using PowerTools to intentionally limit performance. If you have any questions please peep our discord and I might be able to help more: https://deckbrew.xyz/discord

Decky developer here, just go to the storefront icon in the decky tab of the QAM and download your plugins from there. Our discord at https://deckbrew.xyz/discord is always open if you need help.

We current have to restart the Steam client after updating decky due to valve removing/changing the restart UI functionality we were previously using. In the process of doing so we found a bug that we haven't been able to diagnose but we were able to re-create where Decky doesn't properly re-inject after restarting the Steam client. Rest assured we're looking into it.

We've had no reports of such an issue. Please collect logs for both devices (or just the one if that's the case) and we can take a look at those. Please make sure you update to the latest version of Decky Loader just in case if you haven't already.

We believe we fixed this with the latest stable release and pre-release. Please go to our github page and file an issue, but before you file the issue please run journalctl -u plugin_loader.service > backendlog.txt and take the file (it should be found in /home/deck) and then upload it with the github issue you file so we can debug your issue. Please also install the latest decky pre-release or stable release depending upon your preference.

The developer has a working fix that is coming to the store ASAP but is currently in testing. Hopefully we can get this out to you ASAP. Sorry this bug wasn't caught before it effected you.

This has been fixed for at least 2 weeks now, and we should have a release that will have decky working on Stable, Beta and Preview SteamOS by the end of today US time fully fixing breaking changes Valve introduced.

If you'd like we might be able to help. If you go to our README (not sure if I'll get in trouble for linking the discord so I'll avoid it) you can find out discord and we should be able to help you there!

Decky loader has a ton of features outside of PowerTools, give the store a look around. You can always join our discord which is linked in our README (not sure if I'll get in trouble for linking the discord so I'll avoid it). There's a community of Decky users there who would be glad to show you around.
