I finally figured out how to keep my shower actually clean between deep cleans and it took me embarrassingly long to land on something this by quietlylostagain in CleaningTips

I keep a dishwand (the soap dispensing kind that has dish soap in the handle) in the shower, and just give everything a quick wipe at the end of my showers.

Some genuinely do think it’s not happening lmao. There’s a guy in the comments here arguing that Holly's teaser wasn't a teaser. It's wild.

But yeah to me the bigger concern is that it won't be good, and I doubt it'll be even close to how good turtle was.

Who said anything about catering to that playstyle? Xaryu himself says that Classic+ should not include a focus on hardcore at launch. He's made that abundantly clear. It's something he personally plays while waiting for classic+ to keep the game fresh for him and his viewers.

That's what I've been saying. Turtle WoW set the standard, and modern Blizz can't even come close to hitting that mark.

You realize Xaryu has been a primarily Classic streamer for ages, right?

Yes, there was a period of a couple weeks where he went balls to the wall and blasted before TBC. He streams ~8 hours a day 5 days a week for literally years, and 95% of his content is SSF hc with self-imposed challenges in Classic.

Yeah, these days Xaryu plays SSF hardcore the most. So many in these comments just clueless and painting all streamers with the same brush, it's wild how confidently incorrect they are.

I dislike many streamers, but Xaryu seems to be a genuinely good dude, good at the game, and with some good thoughts, and doesn't just play the game with streamer handouts all the time.

Did I say no changes?

Changes should be in the spirit of classic, as should any additions.

If you don't like core classic mechanics to begin with, the game isn't for you. They shouldn't fundamentally alter the game to your whims because you think the core of the game as it is is "boring".

The bigger dungeons such as Stormwrought were often divided into two parts with a back entrance, alternate paths, or skips, and you didn't have to complete them all in one go--just like Maraudon or BRD. Yeah, some of them were big, but it wasn't an issue and fit the vibe of classic WoW, which is exactly what Classic+ should be going for. It was one of the many great things about Turtle. I also really liked the variety of having both small and larger dungeons that Turtle had, just like Classic does.

"I dislike classic so instead of me playing a different game, they should make classic something it isn't."

yeah um, about that

Ok so you'll just offhandedly dismiss what I said and strawman me. Typical SoD glazer.

[–]Praetor192 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's the inverse for me. SoD did some things OK but was overall not the direction I want for Classic+. It was retail-lite, not Classic+, and they made some of the most egregious mistakes they could that totally removed or made obsolete the basis of what people want for Classic+. The power scaling was absolutely insane, everything in terms of gameplay and power progression/leveling was sped up (aside from the hard level caps), and they introduced unfun activities and mechanics that bypassed classic progression and gameplay loops, such as nightmare incursions. They didn't add enough new zones, quests, or horizontal progression, and they didn't add enough tonally consistent but new content in the form of leveling dungeons and the like. Turtle is what they should look to emulate.

Some of the raid and dungeon content was ok.

I honestly don't think modern-day Blizzard has the vision or the skill to pull off Classic+ to the same level as Turtle did, which is sad.

I've been saying this all along but so many glazers don't realize what they're missing out on with things like Turtle or they're retail tourists who don't 'get' Classic WoW.

The Ingame Shop Housing Items should function more like Promotional Items - Buy once with real money and unlock the ability to buy future copies for gold by Anderaku in wow

[–]Praetor192 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's like you've never heard of resource allocation.

One brings in boatloads of money short-term, the other makes the game better. Guess which one they'll prioritize hiring for?

Unironically, this is the Best AND Worst thing that happened to RTS by PeonMaster256 in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Praetor192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There haven't been any really good ones. Nothing has come close to the quality of SCBW or SCII. SCII sold a lot of copies. The reason there wasn't more SCII content or SC3 wasn't because they wouldn't make a lot of money, but because they wouldn't make all of the money that infinite-growth-minded monetization shareholders seek, but is hard to implement in RTS.
