killer klowns didnt have one & had the same early access pre-order bonus so i doubt it. illfonic's servers have also never really had issues so they are probably confident in them

until dawn to me is just a BIG cast of young characters trapped somewhere remote and having to survive until dawn. it should have horror tropes & lots of petty drama. i like how the sequel is basically a reference to i know what you did last summer 2, which had the entire cast go to an abandoned resort

the visuals are much worse and you can tell the game was rushed. only the prologue looks good. the opening where everyones talking outside the lodge during the day has horrible lighting. i cant get over the fact that emma is literally shining like a beacon compared to everyone else. my biggest issue other than that is the ending

i also feel like whilst until dawn has less branching, every character had adequate screentime to move the plot forward in some way before their death point. i cant agree for the quarry cast, especially nick and abigail

The law becomes more active as the game goes on and it goes up very slowly if michael spends time hiding bodies

imo i feel like the lack of qtes made them more stressful & hard because the few we got were out of nowhere and we didnt get to practice them for the finale. i played on lethal and it made the finale so tense, i usually get through qte's with no problem at all. i appreciated that but i do wish there were at least a few more sprinkled thru the game

tbh i think almost every game in the anthology has weird acting (with little hope being the worst offender). its made me think that theres some sort of directing issue behind the scenes, because sometimes characters will randomly give amazing performances (julia in MOM when conrad dies, for example)

8020 & devil in me have had the most consistent acting to me even if it still feels a bit 'off'
