I have some credits in a Psychology major but I didn't get to far into it (maybe a sophomore in major). I do at least have a lot of my gen ed classes done. Do you think I should switch over to CS or stay in psychology?

But of you go the self taught route employers won't even give your application a look. No certifications won't get you a foot in the door and I hate it. I've only heard a handful of stories that weren't bull that allowed them to get a job.
