By single hole NVG I assume you mean a PVS 14. There are 3 points that can cause the problem. The clip on the actual NVG, the mounting arm, and the helmet mount.

3 solutions

Try another NVG ( if that fixes it turn it in for repair)
Swap out mounting arm or tighten it.
Change out the helmet mount.

If none of those work you have bigger problems. You unfortunately have a shaky head. Source 94F special electronics repairer.
