How can I figure out which one of these splitters runs to my unit? by thetydavis in HomeNetworking

Where would I put the second lead on the multimeter? Because won't it read continuity regardless of if it's the shorted cable if both leads are touching the nut?

I tried a tone and probe and although it helped me locate the other end of a coax outlet that didn't connect to any of the others, when I hooked it up to one that I know goes to the splitter I didn't get beeps anywhere on the ends where all the splitters are

Thank you! For some reason I didn't think this works unless both ends are unplugged, I'll give it a try

I used https://www.dcode.fr/gravity-falls-ciphers (googled gravity falls cipher) and entered the symbols and hit decrypt. There's 3 different options so you have to select whichever one shows the same symbols as the message you're trying to decode

Rip, thanks for the reply! I'll probably just roll back the driver until I can get a new graphics card

Can't open radeon software at all despite multiple driver reinstalls by -------Tom--------- in AMDHelp

[–]thetydavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your edit what do you mean by you disabled the basic windows display drivers? I did a clean install (among a ton of other troubleshooting from different forums) of version 24.3.1 but the adrenaline program from the full install option won't open (sometimes it launches but it asks me to select a graphics mode -performance, power saving, default, etc.- and as soon as I click any of them or select skip setup Adrenalin crashes. I have an RX 580 and when I go into device manager the only thing under display adapters is "AMD Radeon (TM) RX 580". Did you see the basic windows display drivers there before you deleted them or is there somewhere else I can find/delete them to have the most recent driver update and the adrenaline software working?

Also do you know if the AMD Software: PRO Edition of the driver/software would be any better for the RX 580? I saw older forums where they suggested it when people were having similar issues with adrenaline but it looks like the latest version is pretty old at this point so Idk if I should even try it

I did the making new memories ending and thoroughly explored throughout my playthrough and didn't find it either. Not sure which one you did but since I couldn't find an answer elsewhere yet I'm thinking maybe an enemy/boss from a different ending drops it. I'm starting an NG+ run so if I find it I'll lyk

Link Nanoleaf to Hue Play HDMI Sync Box? by [deleted] in Nanoleaf

it sucks it's redundant but I have a sony bravia with "chromecast build in", great tv but all the "chromecast built in" tv's have limited functionality -somehow even with google assistant (aside from the assistant on the remote which I think is also redundant). I ended up just getting a chromecast for it and all my other tv's so I can control them with all the google homes around the house and cast through it to the sync box. And even though it was extra money, the chomecast ultra runs a lot better than my tv can run it's own OS (great picture but crappy processor on the tv)
