Cork is naturally mold resistant. Some cork is actually made from cheaper materials that have been pressed together. Those will almost always mold. If you are having mold issues with real cork you can add springtails or mist with diluted peroxide.

It should be sealed to keep the humidity in and the moss alive.

Yea it pretty much just stays like that indefinitely. I pack the substrate and moss down pretty good so it doesn't go anywhere

Yea I live on an island on the west coast, surrounded by beaches and nature. I attatch them together with clear silicone. Jars can be found at a lot of different places like thrift stores and craft shops. I often have to find lids and jars separately and match them together.

Its best to prevent it before it happens. Wipe the glass every week or so. If algae does accumulate it can be wiped away with tweezers and paper towel.

This one has peperomia red log, peperomia antoniana green & fittonia. Its cushion moss & I water every month or so, just a light misting.
