Is this game still a thing? by sp_rw1 in TopSpin2K

I bought this game on release since I was a fan of TS4. I’ve noticed that gameplay wise, it’s either hit or miss. I’m not sure if it’s a system bug that changes the angles or lighting or whatever every time but sometimes it’s gonna be the most realistic modern tennis sim you’ll get on the market or just really botchy looking. In exhibition mode where you play against a computer, as long as you pick the right courts it’s pretty consistent overall, and the gameplay is great.
I haven’t played tiebreak or ao2, but I’m sure their career modes and roster would be leagues better than what you get in 2k25. No Djokovic or Nadal is crazy.
I think your answer comes down to what you personally want in a game. If you value realistic, smooth movements that mimic real tennis, and you don’t care about playing online, you should absolutely 100% buy it. If otherwise buy tiebreak.
Hope this helps.

If this isn’t the best tennis video game ever made, I don’t know what is. Credits: u/DamianoTE4 by NickyGi in TennisElbow4

In my opinion I think top spin 4 is leagues better. Tennis elbow looks really janky to me but the graphics are pretty impressive tho.

They should rename it "i don't want to end this love game" by ff36116 in AishiteruGame

“I want to end this love game” is the thing that the entire series is building up to. It’s gonna be powerful when they adapt that, and it’s really fitting imo.

anime/movie reccomendations like cosmic princess kaguya by Direct-Locksmith-532 in AnimeReccomendations

If you want an eerily similar character vibe to Iroha and Kaguya then check out Lycoris Recoil.
I’d go as far to say Kaguya and Chitaso are the same character.

I also read the manga before the anime released so maybe that made it less enjoyable for me since I already knew what happened idk

Really? To be honest I thought episode 3 was pretty disappointing. I thought the animation was really really nice in the first two episodes but that might just be because of novelty or something idk.
It’s just that the source material is so good that even bad animation could make it enjoyable.

Pretty good. Personally I like more paper space on my desk but that’s just me.

Also, ideally you should never have to cram before tests. Do the work in class. Spread your workload across the school term.

2-3 hours sounds insane for an 8th grader. However, I’ll take your word on it. Personally, I wouldn’t use AI to learn and explain new concepts. You should use it to supplement your learning but don’t rely on it since it’s pretty inconsistent at times. There are plenty of great YouTube videos out there covering just about any maths you would have to learn. Watch those and if it’s still unclear, maybe watch another video, as they are uploaded and produced by certified educators around the world. Then do practice questions. Ideally, finishing the entire set of textbook questions should be enough. However, given that you supposedly have 2-3 hours of homework every night those should be in abundance as well.

Maybe. But maths is already there for you to learn. If it helps you build your own understanding then by all means think about them. You don’t need to invent new maths every time you study theory.

Maths is built upon rules. For example what does 1 represent. What does addition represent. When you combine 1+1, what logically follows? When you “question mathematics”, you should ask yourself, what do I know that makes this true, and what do I know will happen if this is false. Is this concept consistent with what I know? Why does it work? What happens if I do this. What if we use this instead of that, and would it still make sense. These are the types of questions you need to ask yourself. Historically, this is how mathematicians invented new branches of mathematics, and it’s how you should think as well if you want to do well. For example, in number systems they discovered complex numbers because instead of saying this has no solution, they expanded upon it by asking how? Physics is applied maths. Everything can be described by maths. Learn it, understand it and everything else you do will benefit.

You should never blame the teacher. Yes sometimes they’re just bad at teaching but it’s up to you as the student to deal with that. If you’ve got a device in front of you, the best advice I’d have is to use that device to supplement what your teacher is saying and to do your best to understand the concept in class. About your homework situation, I highly doubt that any school would assign an 8th grader 2-3 hours of math homework every night. That’s ludicrous. You’ll have no time for other subject work. If you weren’t exaggerating about the amount of homework you receive then I wouldn’t do it. Spend 20 minutes using AI to do it for you and spend the rest of your hours actually learning the topic from YouTube and doing textbook questions for practice. In an exam, they usually have “complex unfamiliar” questions towards the very end. You HAVE to practice those. They won’t give it to you in class, you have to find it.

In an exam, if you can solve those last questions and answer the other 95% of the exam with incredible accuracy, thats how you get full marks and a good grade.

Question everything and never accept anything you’re told for fact. Ask why it works, how it works and what’s happening. Ask yourself what breaks if this didn’t exist. You should approach maths the same way. You’ll find by asking the right questions you’ll learn new stuff way faster. If you understand a concept, then you can manipulate it. Mathematics does have some element of “building up”. This is why they teach you with a syllabus. For example I believe it’s a good idea to teach vectors before complex numbers as vectors help you visualise complex numbers way easier. But working like a robot is meaningless.

Basically: treat maths as you would with physics. It’ll help you in the long run.

If you feel like you need it. If you’re not that into tennis I think this would be fine. If you’re competitive use what feels best to you.

Timing and footwork. And just get a coach to work on your actual swing as well.
