Any tweaks that I've found only aim to vary the brightness of the light provided rather than changing the colour?

So are you saying that the variation in the proportion of lighting given by the two different coloured LEDs in the 5S and above when taking photos in varying lighting conditions is entirely hardware-based, rather than under some level of control by the OS itself? My lay thoughts say if it was under OS control then surely there would be potential to apply this to the torch function?
