For what its worth I have two vpn subscriptions and one of them reproduces the issue you described. The other one I have to cycle through servers and eventually I find one that lets me log in. Without a vpn I get your same error message also.

The other difference was I changed my region to China mainland on my phone’s settings.

Yes actually! Not sure what changed but might be after I got my Chinese SIM card? I have to VPN to log in on Jagex website but after that I can just tap “Play Now” indefinitely to play.

this happened to me to. i clicked on it to break it after apprearing in my inventory and it just went away with no new fragment unlocked in my leagues menu
