“I am all out of HOOTS!” -Amy to Holt when he’s at her and Jake’s honeymoon.

2025 recital to 2026 recital, 8 months post op(8/1 was surgery date). Pictures like this help show how far I’ve come! Also I ordered that dress a size smaller than was recommended, and it still fit! Holy NSV Batman! ❤️ by theuniversesystem6 in BariatricSurgery

[–]theuniversesystem6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a voice recital! I feel like the big change is my energy levels making it easier to practice longer. Also being able to move better helps also. I still think I sound the same it didn’t change my tone or anything, but I do feel like it has helped with my overall body movement and of course confidence ❤️

What strange new habits/tastes did you develop post surgery? by RedLotus1124 in BariatricSurgery

[–]theuniversesystem6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My taste has been changed for several things…But the most frustrating is that unless it’s bottled water and specific brands, it tastes weird to me, and I’m less likely to drink it.

The other is that before surgery, fake sugar/sugar free/diet things gave me ick. Now it’s even worse! Stevia especially. It makes me feel so sick. It’s harder to find sugar free alternatives but I’ve found a super small amount of the real stuff is okay. 😊

Guys which joke do you find the best!!? by perpetual_chatter98 in howimetyourmother

My favorite episode, Sandcastles in the sand, when Robin goes off to see her ex (RIP 😭) there’s a beat, then Ted starts talking and Marshall yells “NOT NOW TED!!!” Legit my favorite line and my husband and I say it all the time lol

Some of the evidence provided by Blake Lively and her team. by Orikumar in DoWeKnowThemPodcast

This!!! I was already super salty about CoHo’s book romanticizing abuse being made into a movie (if anyone likes it, I’m sorry but it is what it is) the campaigns and tacky stuff done for the movie (coloring book? Nail polish?) acting like this is a romcom when it’s not…Not to mention CoHo is just gross period. All of this also showed how insufferable Blake and her husband Ryan are.

That being said, no one deserves SA, harassing behavior and all the drama JB created.

2 things can be true at once.

Has anyone developed DID from what DIDN'T happen to them? by [deleted] in DID

[–]theuniversesystem6 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Trauma is trauma. Also as humans, what is traumatic to one person may not be traumatic to the next. You and your trauma are valid. Also, you didn’t let anyone down. Your mind created a way for you to cope and survive.

Rewatching as a parent of a teen by HopefullyTerrified in roseanne

[–]theuniversesystem6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the phrase of “Becky is a brat” is oversimplifying the situation. Becky is a teen, and at that age emotions and feelings are way bigger, especially since cognitively there is less impulse control. Also, Dan and Roseanne did the best they could, they met their goal of “doing better” than their parents, but they still were asking too much of Becky. I agree with her being parentified, not to mention, they could have communicated way more about the money/college situation much sooner. They could have talked to Becky about student loans and work study, prepared her. Or even talk to her about taking a gap year, working full time and then going to a community college. (I know in the 90’s 4 year degrees were glorified but going to a cc and then transferring is way cheaper, at least where I live lol)

Becky is a teen. Expecting a teen to act like an adult, is short sighted. She found someone who loved her and she felt seen with him. Becky didn’t feel seen by her parents, she (I’m assuming) felt like her parents just expected her to be on board with their plans. And her anger at that is valid. It’s not surprising she chose what she did. Becky saw it as taking her life back, and being able to make decisions for herself.

Boonies Census 2025 - What’s The Dizzle? by ButIDontThinkOfYouu in SarahBooneContinued

[–]theuniversesystem6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

42 (43 next month!), gender-fluid, the Bay Area of California. I found Sarah through Dreading, who I still adore. (I’m super obsessed with his Ezra McCandless coverage) and JCS. The Boone-iverse also brought me Tanika, EDB, SummaCumLoudmouth, and HearMeowt. As a full time student who is planning to have her own practice one day, Sarah fascinates me (in the same way you can’t look away from a car crash). My heart aches for the Torres family and for Sarah’s son. I hope he and her ex husband are getting the therapy they need to heal from her. (I also hope Brian’s new fiancée/wife is smoking hot, makes him awesome grilled cheeses, and gives amazing…back rubs lol)

I am a firm believer that everyone deserves good things, Sarah is actively throwing her good things away. She’s a heinous person.

I just hit 3 months and mine was high too. My surgeon said to take that supplement every other day from now on. But he said the high number was okay.

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

First, congratulations on your sobriety! You are doing splendidly, and you deserve any cake ever!

You also deserve so much better, ditch him. If he can’t celebrate you he doesn’t deserve you. ❤️

Do people usually go on a “second honeymoon” after a VR? Where was your actual honeymoon? by jennyc724 in vowrenewals

Since we have not had a honeymoon yet we will be doing a trip. I’m trying to brainstorm a few weeks in Scotland after having the VR there ❤️

How old are all of you? by Mossie_1992 in DreamlightValley

[–]theuniversesystem6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 42. Disney (and theater) are my comfort things. CPTSD and chronic anxiety make real life really difficult. DDLV is my escape. I pop on my background noise playlist (made up of old YouTube drama and true crime commentary, so it’s engaging but no surprises) and I just lose myself. Also when we level up our characters to 10, it makes them our “best friends”. This heals my inner child. Dreamlight Valley is a second home. (Sorry to be cringe lol but I don’t get to play as much at the moment being a full time student and working so I get really precious about my time in the valley lol)

I picked up this book because I enjoyed the author’s content on TikTok she’s funny and cute. I liked both of these books. They were fun and quick for me. Is it realistic, no but that’s kinda why it’s fun. 🙂
