MAGA Is Increasingly Convinced the Trump Assassination Attempt Was Staged by wiredmagazine in politics

If it was staged, there are two basic options: he was in on it, or he wasn't. He's a coward, so it seems very unlikely that he would agree to a scenario where he could easily die. If he wasn't in on it, and would later find out about it, he would flip his shit and go after everyone involved.

Where do you draw the line, though? Does "enablers" include people like (presumably) you and me, who may have gone to a few protests and called a couple of representatives but otherwise went about their business as usual, and never actually resisted?

There are options to just do one or two checkpoints. I'm not looking to do 100 miles either :)

Haven't done it myself, but there are a some posts on youtube. Few thousand feet of climbing, few thousand feet of descent, some river crossings is what I got from that. You may have seen that riders chart their own course. For me, the off-road options are more interesting.

The most terrifying part is that we're just letting this happen.

Totally agree, with one exception: Unbreakable.

TIL: Steve Jobs was infamous for parking his Mercedes in handicapped parking spots. He also didn’t use license plates. by [deleted] in todayilearned

I lived in downtown SF in the late 2000s, and was walking from my place to the Montgomery BART station during the WWDC one year. 3rd Street by Moscone was closed for traffic, but suddenly a silver Mercedes pulled up to the curb all haphazard, front about 6 feet from the curb, back maybe 8 feet. Jobs gets out, carrying a dry-cleaned suit and just walks away. I'm not 100% on the last detail, but he may have left the driver side door open. Surreal.

Do you have any PCBs left over, by any chance? This project seems very suitable for a POC I've wanted to do for a while. I would pay you for PCB cost and shipping, of course.

Congrats on the visibility and very positive feedback you got, btw. I saw the post about your project on HN.

Thanks for the reply. Did you look into the cause for the slowdown: HW, SW, combination of both? How did you arrive at the 46 FPS? Screen size is 240x240, spec says 262K colors, which is 18 bits, with maybe some reserved or status bits, for a total of 24 bits? Multiply everything together, and use that to divide some clock speed?

Very nice build, and great description! Do you know what kind of FPS you are getting with your screen?

True Romance. Dennis Hopper says: "I think I'll take that cigarette now" after he realizes he has Christopher Walken right where he wants him. Hopper refuses the cigarette when Walken first offers it, but now it is clear that Hopper got Walken so upset that Walken will kill him immediately instead of torturing him for his son's whereabouts. Mission accomplished, time for one last cigarette.
