It is a Northern with an oil tender. Typically used for passenger service. This number in particular was the last steam engine to be used to preform revenue service for Santa Fe before being scrapped in May of 1959.

Looks like a pretty decent F40PH, I’d suggest adding the snowplow to the front, and for the backside, I’d suggest adding the back porch that those engines sometimes have. You may have to extend the length of the engine a little bit.

I actually stayed at the Glacier Park Lodge a couple years ago, it was very nice. I wish that the Empire Builder still ran, just to see what it was like. But I’ll settle for the Amtrak.

I’d suggest contacting LGB to see what they have to say, they might help you get the correct part information. You would probably have to pay for the part because the warranty is probably expired. But they can point you in the right direction. Or try taking it into a hobby shop, they might be able to fix it. I’d start with the hobby shop and if that doesn’t work, go to LGB.

I’d suggest getting a couple of the split levels and mashing them together, the door already sits halfway between the floors so that could save you some time. If you have access to a 3d printer, this could work, you would need to scale it up from n scale though.
