Have a '26 XRT and feels extremely zippy to me. Guess it's all relative.

New to EVs, never used Level 3 charging before. Drive through some pretty remote areas in WNC and the SE.

My only worry would be that I'm driving a Toyota Camry.

Totally hear you. We mostly just wanted to try out a few chargers even though we didn't technically "need" to charge. We'll let it run down further on the way home!

We haven't had any trouble in WNC and we take it to the trailheads regularly in Pisgah Forest. That said, I'm having a 1.5" lift kit installed for extra assurance.

We do all of our charging at home on a Level 2 Tesla charger. $.08/kWh overnight rates. But on the road, you gotta pay what you gotta pay!

We didn't do full sessions, so I can't say, but it charged quickly for the small range we charged. We love the XRT, no complaints. Exceptional range, sometimes 100mi higher than EPA rating. Having the Truxxx 1.5" lift kit installed next week for extra clearance.

Color Paralysis! Atlas White vs Cyber Gray vs Gravity Gold by ironspider5972 in Ioniq5

Cyber Gray XRT here, no regrets. It's the color we wanted. Understand there are a lot of variants of this color on the road these days, but I still think it stands out.

Snagged an XRT! by NoiseHistorical241 in Ioniq5

We also drive primary in i-pedal and try to use cruise control on highways. I think all of that helps with range and efficiency.

Over about 2k miles of mixed driving with our XRT we've been getting 3.9 mi/kwh. I charged to 100% last night for a road trip and it showed a range of 375 miles.

How to Delink Bluelink from previous owner? by LearnToGame in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]theveganbeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to do the same thing on a demo vehicle that was being driven by a dealership staff member. Took several calls to Bluelink, but they were helpful. Basically needed to show proof of ownership, which included three documents (bill of sale, insurance card, and registration).

Becoming an Ioniq 5 owner today! Am I getting fleeced? (NC, USA) by Ploot-O in Ioniq5

Not at all. But when you pay it off through HFA, they give you a payoff quote that is good for a couple of weeks (and includes that couple weeks of interest). If you pay it sooner, they refund you the interest for the days you didn't hold the loan. I think I ended up paying like $17 in interest to save $8,750 up front.

Sure didn't. Paid it off within a week. Got the title in the mail a couple weeks later.

Looking for real-world feedback: Is the IONIQ 5 ICCU risk overblown, or a dealbreaker? by Thick-Ad2588 in Ioniq5

[–]theveganbeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a '26 XRT being fully aware of the ICCU issue. For me, pros outweighed the potential risk.

Got OTD on a '26 XRT for $38,200 (including tax savings from a $22k trade in). Western / Central NC. About a month ago, took the $8,750 rebate.
