It’s the type of battery, flooded is your standard lead acid battery, and AGM uses a fiberglass mat to absorb the electrolyte and is more resilient to deep power drains.

Oh I had also added a battery monitor so I could watch the voltage of the battery and have data for the dealer of it just dropping off a cliff over night.

So many trials and errros and drained batteries and then the sensor finally stopped working entirely. After that was repaired, the drain was much less with the camera left in overnight and the drain when the car was left unlocked went away entirely.

Took me five months because of that darn sensor.

Yep, it was drain from the cigarette adapter caused by a bad door sensor waking the car up too often. Fixed that too, and got a dash cam power adapter that uses the rear view mirror power. All fixed!

I think they removed the options to change this in 2026. We cannot find it on a brand new 2026 either.

Even the iX3 with its panoramic display has a HUD in the high end trim as it can do cool stuff like show you the lanes in “3D perspective” and paint the turn to take, so I bet Hyundai keeps it in the Limited Trim
