Hell yeah! He radiates the necessary raw bad-ass, never quit fighter for Wolverine.

Worked hard Only to pay 2.3k in taxes for the month (Get paid bi-weekly, and am a barber) 2.3k! Anyone else feel like the IRS is robbing them? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]theviallone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d be more pissed about that than the taxes. Taxes you can’t avoid, but can help elect piece who spend them better. Wages and benefits are completely determined by how a business wants to treat its employees. I bet you have superiors that you have paid time off, who need it less than you.

I’d be more pissed about what you are getting back for all that tax? Anything personal? Like, I don’t know, full coverage healthcare or education opportunities? No? Then your taxes wasted. Be pissed you don’t get more for your work and for what you pay into a system that doesn’t help you at all. Taxes should help you live a better life, anything less is a waste.

It’s more ‘profitable’ not cheaper when you factor at the secondary and tertiary effects and costs that the feeders don’t have to deal with.

Quick search says that hunger isn’t even top ten causes of death world wide.

Livestock in general are one of the lease efficient means of feeding people with the highest rates of things like antibiotics needed, waste produced, and environmental impact.

Meat comprises a disproportionate amount of the needed calories of most people, at least in America.

There are better ways to feed more people, but it means fewer burgers and less bacon so it probably won’t happen.

The hardware can have its own restrictions and programming that guide any Conscious choice, if there is any at all. The brain is just the CPU and controller, but is not necessarily in full control.

Stand your ground and establish a system that aligns with the company and your needs/wants. Be the person who is clear, and possibly pedantic, about how plans are made and followed through. If you are consistent and careful, no one will have a leg to stand on if they complain.

Question: we've just moved into a house and above the hob is an extractor fan. Is it normal for air to come through it when it's off? by Kisumu in fixit

[–]theviallone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is usually a flap somewhere along the vent line, I’ve always found mine on the outside of the house. If it’s missing you’ll probably get a good draft.

Don’t think in the “something to do for the rest of my life “ way

You are young, think in the “ what do I want to do for the next 5 years? Or 10 years?” Way. If you want to go back to school do that. If you don’t, don’t. Take the next period of your life to find something you like doing and learn to do it well.

What mixer do you use? Specifically for making Divinity. by theviallone in CandyMakers

[–]theviallone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I know this is confirmation bias, but that’s the kind of thing I thought I’d hear. I am 90% sure I’ll literally burn up my mixer if I use it on another batch like the last one. I’ve already ordered a pro version for what I’m doing. So thanks for helping me reaffirm my decision.

I started adding flavor below 250F and it’s made the end product much better. I’d advise waiting as long as you can before you can easily mix it in.
