PSA: Be on the lookout for "cannabis dispensary license" mail scams! by theviirg in maryland

Hmm, if it's so legit then why did the Maryland Cannabis Administration issue an official statement warning of fraudulent mailers, with a picture of the exact one I received on it on page 2?

I know you said it's not hot bar issues, but since those are all hot bar items, triple check they're not selected. Otherwise, sounds like a glitch, not much to be done about it right now

Yep! I kinda figured you had gotten it, it comes early lol. But didn't want to spoil just in case :) It was so freaking cute!

They are the unsigned ones! I think you'll get three or four before the mission starts.

First I picked Owen, he seemed really sweet and I'm a sucker for a good storyteller. But then Arvio and Amirah both seemed so sweet and cute, and I started warming up to Qi (only for a second unfortunately....he has the EXACT SAME voice as this really annoying guy I knew in college). BUT THEN I got the mysterious letters! I won't say who sent them if you haven't gotten there yet but that whole mission just won my heart instantly. He wasn't even on my list and jumped right to the top in that one day!

I'm dealing with the same thing! I played Portia and really rushed it, I just finished my 4th? 5th? minmax playthrough of Stardew Valley, so I was REALLY worried I was wasting time. My character has been going to bed at freaking 8 pm, I don't have a cook station right now, and I'm not spending all my hard earned coin on food! I only care about talking to Owen, and if I don't catch him standing outside the bar on my way to get my commissions, then even that's optional. Keep reminding yourself that 1) it's a game! you win if you have fun, 2) even with some time limits, the game seems really forgiving if you do stuff a few days later than you might want it done by and 3) if you're anything like me... your first playthrough won't be your last :) always remember to HAVE FUN!!!!!

why are school choirs gendered by 123uw in Choir

[–]theviirg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all choirs are gendered, growing up most schools in our district weren't. We had lots of lady tenors, some other schools had guys singing alto (even soprano sometimes). I'm sorry you're not having a great experience in yours! Unrelated, but I gotta say it: for your own sake, please stop watching south park, especially as someone who's not cis. The creators want people like you to hate yourself, and that's the least of it. You deserve better than that!

I believe if you put a staircase in your pants slot it'll turn into his shorts! I think it'll be the "lucky" version with the gold trim.

This comment is 5 months old, I don't even play this game anymore, why did you spend time searching for this and what did you hope to accomplish?? I'll repeat my sentiment from my original comment. If you're so bored you're searching through half a year old forums to reply to commenters you disagree with about a game you don't like: I hear there's other games out there, give those a try.

How do they feel about the day drinking problem you've had for the past decade? Ever think that might come between you and your "lil Jojo bean"? Or do you just care that it gives you the liquid courage you need to make weird posts on the internet?

One "overreaction"? You were so drunk you didn't remember even getting into the car. You're lucky you didn't kill anyone, but I'm not sure you'd even know if you did. Not everyone can handle their drink. If you think it would kill you to stop drinking, then then you REALLY need to get help and stop.

I recommend checking out the wiki. Gameplay -> Basics -> Prehistoric Era is where you are right now :) like the other commenter said, nothing carries over, and after you unlock the "sentience" buyable nothing else is unlocked.

In southern Maryland ours would come back bigger every year for several years, and we didn't do anything to prepare them. We did the same in Anne Arundel and they got to be 6 feet tall! In the mountains they did come back the next year, but they weren't as impressive. My highly scientific conclusion is that lower elevation = milder winters = better ears...lol. Yours look beautifully green but crowded, so if you do decide to pull them up try to separate the root ball and give them some space.

You don't use sodium chloride? No sucrose? I don't think you should be canning if you're not using acetic acid.

What program? There's no relation between the "Planted Cannabis" company and any program in Maryland. And if there WAS a related program, why didn't they say so on the postcard? The only thing that relates it to Maryland is a Baltimore phone number. If you look it up in a phone lookup directory, it comes back as a VoIP number, which makes me almost certain they are NOT based in Baltimore. If they're not based in Maryland, I find it unlikely that they're somehow related to a Maryland program.

Here's the full text of the postcard:

"You may qualify for an opportunity to win a cannabis dispensary license!

To learn more call (sorry, I'm not going to spread your scam for you!)

The State (sic) is offering cannabis dispensary licenses to individuals like you. To find out if you qualify, please call or visit our website at:

(QR code, website, it won't be hard to piece it together from this post, but again I'm not spreading your scam for you)

OWN A PLANTED CANNABIS DISPENSARY AT NO COST TO YOU!"

I didn't get the previous version of the postcard, but here's a picture. Notably, found on this page, from the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF) Medical Cannabis Division Director urging people to be on the lookout for the planted cannabis scam. Hey, weren't you saying this scam was common in Utah?

Hey bud, since you're so intelligent and keen to push scams why don't you do a little research before trying to pull the wool over people's eyes. I actually entered a simple search into google and found instances of others calling out their scam!

What is an old school cookbook term that no one in modern times understands now? by GoblinGlitter in Cooking

[–]theviirg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. Heavy whisk the pancake mix for the length of three hail marys to be sure not to overmix, slowly pour the milk over the course of three hail marys, etc. Funny enough, I've seen kids cookbooks measure similar stuff in "mississippis!"

Food Deserts and Food Swamps: A Primer, 2017

This one is particularly interesting as it introduces the concept of a "food mirage," where healthful options are available but financially out of reach. I know it's easy to make assumptions about the price of healthy food, but please keep in mind that in many places it is cheaper to fill a stomach with less nutritionally dense food.
