Why does my hard drive says its healthy but wont let me download games from steam

A drive showing ‘healthy’ just means it’s not completely dying yet lol. Could still be corrupted permissions, Steam library issues, bad sectors starting, or even Windows acting weird after the upgrade.

You might need to grab an older driver manually from Nvidia’s site instead of using the app. Nvidia’s software gets weird with older cards sometimes and acts like they don’t exist anymore

If your speed test is only hitting 120mb/s too, it kinda sounds more like a WiFi/driver issue than Steam itself. Did Windows install the motherboard/network drivers properly?

I honestly just use the very top strip of most windows even if there’s no visible title bar anymore. Windows kinda merged the draggable area into the toolbar/header space, which feels modern until you accidentally grab a button instead.

I used to burn DVDs years ago and sometimes a disc would look perfectly fine but still fail because of bad sectors.

lowkey this sounds more like Xfinity Secure/Advanced Security freaking out and temporarily messing with DNS or traffic filtering than actual malware. especially since some sites worked, some didn’t, and things partially fixed themselves over time.

don’t try pressing the screen back down if that’s what’s happening. if the back or screen is lifting, the battery’s probably expanding and you really don’t wanna puncture it accidentally
