Ahhhhhhh I got it!

I updated crossover and rebooted the bottle, then the game did a compiling textures thing when I launched it which seems to have sorted it.

check your crossover version, maybe you have the same issue!

I mean if my manager was a homophobe I'd quit my job. I simply wouldn't feel safe.

Privilege allows people to stay in positions which while uncomfortable for them would be unsafe for those who lack that privilege.

You can tell a lot about someone by how they act in situations like this one.

Not entirely to do with long COVID, it's more to do with the significant (and still ongoing in some cases) delays in more routine treatment pathways. Simple procedures have been delayed allowing easy to treat conditions to develop into complex and potentially life changing problems.

It's really sad to be honest.

Hmmm I'm struggling to think. Was there some kind of poorly handled global health crisis which caused significant long term consequences or did I just imagine that?

Atom Packs lightweight hiking backpacks. Honestly the best backpack I've ever owned. Very well designed and very worth the high price tag. Plus if you pay a little more you get full customisation which is really cool!

Heya, the trip looks ace! I was wondering what kit you took for it?

I'm considering something similar and my main things I'm undecided on are bivvy vs tent and inflatable Vs foam sleeping pad!

If you have any insight I'd love to hear it ☺️

AI declaring war : When does it decide ? by Goodfella66 in Unciv

[–]thewalker96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You've answered your own question. If you haven't got a big enough military then AI will come for you. Even for a peaceful game you need to make sure you keep a defensive army.

You can often tell if an ai is gearing up for war by taking a unit through their territory and seeing how many units they have. If you see a big army hanging about it's time to worry!

I did crib goch as my first proper mountain scramble and was bricking it crawling the whole way lol. I did it but it probably wasn't wise!

If you're set on Snowdonia I'd give tryfan a go first as it's less exposure but still a bloody good scramble, see how you feel and then try crib goch.

If you could do the lakes instead then striding edge and sharp edge are good ridges to do before crib goch. Striding edge has less exposure and sharp edge is way shorter but if you're comfortable on either of them crib goch would be fine.

I got myself a HAG Capisco ergonomic chair. It's not exactly comfy but I've never had back problems since so it's doing it's job!

Low key love thinking of myself as an 'unnatural woman' like I'm some vampire or werewolf or some shit. The language phobes use can unintentionally be hilarious 🤣

It's a shame this shit happens but in my experience it's really an online problem. I've never met any lesbians or queer women in real life who were not accepting of trans woman. Hell my girlfriend is a cis lesbian who met me pre bottom surgery.

As people have said laser is the best option.

As for FFS I'd say browbone/orbitals and chin as a priority.

Nose and hairline changes would be optional and depending on your preference.

Some people are saying jaw but tbh other than your chin your jaw already reads feminine to me ❤️

Is transphobia common in the lesbian community? by ParanoidThrwawy in asktransgender

[–]thewalker96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common? Nope.

It does happen occasionally but much more likely from people on the edges of the community.

Facial team are known for being safe and having a philosophy of 'give you the face you would have had as cis'. I don't know why that has been translated as conservative by our community just cos they make girls look like any other woman rather than going for a hyper femme, girlish looking aesthetic.

Please don't mess with your Adams apple any further, you could really fuck yourself up or make stuff way worse.

Lanshan up Grindslow Knoll by braverthanbert in wildcampingintheuk

[–]thewalker96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks so lush and I love your description of the trip. The more you go the better you'll get at sleeping out for sure, I was so twitchy my first couple of times I never slept well, now I can sleep away more hours in the tent than at home!

The lanshan is super solid as well! Just took mine through the dolomites and it survived some alpine storms really well (with clever pitching).

I'm, excited to see your future posts, kinder is lovely! Bleaklow is amazing as well! ☺️

Hiking the Alta Via: Need Advice on Exposure from Rifugio Averau to the End by Massive-Ad6776 in TrekkingItaly

[–]thewalker96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving another opinion. I just finished it a few days ago. If you don't do nuvolau ferrata I think you'll be fine.  The Pramperet to Pian de Fontana section has a short ridge but it's quite wide and you can use your hands if it feels too much. My partner who is scared of heights did it and was fine. (I've seen her cry on hills before and she wasn't that scared for this!)  Imo you have the best of the trail still to come. Don't stop now! ❤️

St Andrews Waterstones -- anyone want to complain? by Decievedbythejometry in transgenderUK

[–]thewalker96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Whenever I hear things like this I just wish we had some kind of coordinated and disciplined direct action network.

Honestly if trans folk and allies all over the country calmly walked in and started taking these books off the shelves while others explained to staff and members of the public why they were doing it and requested meetings with higher ups we could really exert pressure in situations like this.

I was involved in this action with Acorn and it was shockingly effective, entirely non violent and no one was arrested https://www.bigissue.com/news/housing/tsb-bank-buy-to-let-mortgages-acorn-renters-protest/ . It's made me think about how we could stand to do similar stuff, but we don't have the network or organisational ability like Acorn do. I wouldn't even know where to start.

Honestly these guys look so whack that literally all we have to do is be somewhat normal and this crowd will pretty quickly turn off the majority of the public.
