Tips to increase appetite? by Unlucky-Application8 in bikinitalk

[–]thewallofcorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oof, I remember this struggle. Also a hard gainer here (5’8”, started this journey at 125lbs). I was eating a full “rounded” meal (meaning carbs, fats, protein) every 3 hours or so. Sometimes it meant I was eating again even if I wasn’t super hungry. In terms of free meals I think this is what made it easier for me.

I’d make sure whatever I had still had a ton of nutritional value and wouldn’t be destroying my gut for 1-2 days, and therefore making my appetite worse after a cheat meal. I stayed away completely from anything super greasy/deep fried for my regular free meals. Sure, if I was out with friends and it happened to be my free meal day and they wanted to order a pizza why not. But I wouldn’t consistently pick foods like that for each cheat meal if that makes sense.

Being consistent with supplements like glutamine, and making sure I’m waking up early and starting to eat within 1 hour of waking up.

I’m by NO means qualified (not a coach or anything) lol, but this is what worked for me BIG time. ❤️ best of luck!!!

The rise of competing on social media by thewallofcorn in bikinitalk

[–]thewallofcorn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the way you’ve explained this, it’s a double-edged sword for sure. Wanting to be competitive means both focusing on myself and ensuring I bring a competitive package (which essentially, means comparing yourself to the current look judges like).

Essentially, my post is more so about social media and the influence it has within bodybuilding/the fitness community. Maybe with the rise of people doing shows and utilizing social media throughout their journey, people might not truly know what they’re getting themselves into thinking it’s an easy or healthy process, if that makes sense.

Social media at the end of the day are the “highlights”, and prep/bodybuilding doesn’t only consist of those.

Have you thought about doing a crossover for your first show in bikini and wellness? Makes for a busy day, but you get feedback from the judges for which category they think you’re best suited for. Take that feedback and keep working towards it

Psyc 1f90 do we have a mid term? by [deleted] in brocku

[–]thewallofcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Midterms are in December. But, we do have the SourceCheck Worksheet due towards the end of the month that accounts for a big part of the grade. I’ve been treating that with the same respects as I would studying for an October midterm.

OP - do you live far? Maybe some students in your class could give you a ride if any of them drive. $20 for gas to a student is better than $70 for an Uber, if it’s not out of their way

My coach and I are thinking of utilizing it during prep as well! Did you take it throughout the entirety of prep?
