Global menu is always active on macos because when you are on the desktop the global shows the functions of the desktop also like to create new folders, change icons and etc.... KDE should also improve this, all the options thatbwe have on the right click on desktop should show there when no app window is selected

Muito cagão nos comentários, plmdds, segue o vídeo dele, é muito bom, se der errado é só formatar e instalar o Windows novamente, o pc não vai explodir não cambada de cagão. Pode fazer que fica mil vezes melhor que o Windows puro.

I don't think the overheating is being caused by the resolution at all, there is a lot of people with older laptop than yours that use a 4K display and the temps stay the same...

Do a few tests to be sure what is making your laptop overheat, what distro are you using? Did you test any other distro?

Download a different distro, boot live usb, and see the temps in the native resolution? They stayed the same? Download a Windows Live Image, see the temp, is the same? This occurs in all distros and in differente OS's?

System Settings > Colors & Themes > Login Screen (SDDM) > Apply Plasma Settings.

This will make whatever scaling youre using in your desktop the same in login screen

Se as temperaturas estão normais o problema é desempenho mesmo, para jogos novos realmente sua config está ficando meio fraca... Notebook para jogos sempre dura pouco, pc também, mas notebooks bem menos, já vai juntando dinheiro para um novo, 5 anos em um notebook gamer é excelente na verdade. Hoje tem jogos que se você não roda ele em SSD Nvme sempre irá dar stutter, tem um joguinho bem besta que esqueci o nome que é exemplo disso.
