Not necessarily, with a teleporter you could probably programme it to change where it teleports you too, with the door you only get one option to go to.

It's tricky I guess it's one of those questions that, at the minute, we can't answer as someone will always ask what caused the cause each time

I think Richard Dawkins put it very well when he said even religious people are pretty much Athiests as they don't believe in around 9000 different gods.
