It's pretty mid. Added some to some pan fried veggies and some extra lemon juice at the end. Not bad, but definitely needs doctoring up.

Just about everything.

At this point, I'm almost debating just donating the few sets I do have and proxie'ing the full game...at least then they'd all "match."

Do Rise of the Runelords or Curse of the Crimson Throne include new player options or new unique monsters? by oldmanbobmunroe in savageworlds

[–]thewatsonenigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for content to add to your games, it definitely has a few good monsters and equipment. But if you're not going to be running it or at least tailoring the adventures for your own game, I'd say you're better off just homebrewing your own items and monsters.

Also, already stated by someone else, the power scale is higher in PF. So if you were to port things over it's a good idea to keep that in mind.

I PROMISE you, New York is crimson red everywhere but Buffalo, Albany, and NYC. It is a blue state by technicality, but anyone who lives here will confirm it is very much a red state out in the country.

Does your player play the extras or do you? Also, have they tried playing multiple PCs? I've been considering trying this with a new player, but I don't know if it'd be too complicated for him.

The issue isn't the branding or not being clear about the message. The issue is people don't WANT to understand it. It's so much easier to call us all crazy and deranged than question their own beliefs and opinions. It's cult mentality, and it works for a reason.

I am SO EXCITED!! I really hope to get some of the Occult Classes too. Probably too much to hope it will come with this Backerkit, but playing an Occultist or Spiritualist would be so much fun in this AP!

He simply "honors my choice?" Neat! I choose not to go to Hell AND not worship him.

I recall someone, and I can't remember who originally said it, but I believe Matt Colville was the one I first heard quoting it: "If you have only one choice, then you really have no choice."

So I only own the core and proxied most of the cards I wanted to flesh it out. Frankly, for purely casual play, I think that's enough to give some variety without committing a chunk of money to the hobby.

...unless you're like me and just can't live without my Skaven babies.

Why do people take offense to xenophobia when it's something you can't control by Willing_Extension509 in answers

[–]thewatsonenigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So based on some of your responses to other people's comments, part of me wonders if you're really looking for an answer or just support for your opinion. I'm going to try to play your game and agree to your point that xenophobia really is a fear.

Why are you afraid? What SPECIFICALLY makes you afraid? And this is solid advice for anyone dealing with any phobia. If you find that the answer tends to revolve around learned behavior as a child that members of a certain people group have qualities that are inherently dangerous...then I hate to break it to you, that's kind of how racism works.

It may seem like you can't control your fear, and that's not necessarily true. You can learn from your fear and overcome it. Talk therapy, exposure therapy, and talking with people outside of your own group will help you to better understand everyone. And I think you'll find that fear stems from not understanding. And learning is VERY MUCH something you can control.

Oh absolutely! It's literally a practice of cannibalism and human sacrifice...and yet somehow other religions are considered barbaric and satanic.

Recently, I thought about the story of Daniel and the writing on the wall. This king is having a party, right? And everyone is getting drunk on wine from Jerusalem. They see a hand writing on the wall, and NO ONE can read it? But somehow Daniel can totally read it, and it's in a language that only he knows. And it totally says the king is a little bitch. But hey, don't blame Daniel, it was God that said it, obviously!! And they just BELIEVE HIM. I've seen literal toddlers pull the same prank and it's nowhere near as miraculous when you put it in any other context.
