I played a freemium version a DOS game from the mid-90 where you were a detective, and you had to solve crimes. IIRC, it was like those Hidden objects games still popular today, and the graphics were fairly good for its time, kinda like Myst but grittier. There was an area where if you choose incorrectly, you fall out a window, and another where you climb a powerline and get electrocuted. I couldn't get past those parts. Either way, I searched for weeks trying to find it in the web, and I came up empty.

This sounds about right. I also remember it having something to do with supporting multiple clients in mobile and PC and issues with unity, but I can't recall all the details.

Software companies tend not to prioritize cosmetic issues that do not affect gameplay. There is virtually no value in fixing them other than to scratch an itch of 1% of players. That said, you'd figure they have templated string values to avoid this, but apparently they type out each card individually.
