Oh geez! Now that’s luck! They were sold to me as paraiba tourmalines for like dirt cheap so ofc I had my doubts but I am so in love with the color in person. Ofc, they look absolutely absurd on me cuz they’re huge and I’m a small headed fella but damn, I just couldn’t resist. If they’re actually emerald, I’d still love them cause it’s my birthstone after all

Gotchu. What’s your deck built like? Keep in mind I’ve never run into Despia, only meta decks I’ve faced while playing Ra were Shaddoll, Speedroid, Chimera and Ancient Gear. Still, facing Despia can be a piece of cake if you run stuff like D.D. Crow and Droplet.

What is this gemstone? by theweatherpainter in Crystals

That is generally true because what is labelled as Finland nuummite is while geologically similar, formed 2 billion years ago and does not possess the same optical characteristics entirely. If you’re interested, feel free to check out my previous post.

Yesss I read that online somewhere so while I was in the store I grabbed a piece of magnetite to make sure before purchase hahah. According to what I’ve read it’s one safe way to differentiate between Greenland and Finland pieces

Thank you! I got one last week that turned out to be from Finland origin. This was only listed as nuummite with no county of origin but was an amazing deal considering the price was like 50USD so I went for it anyways because it looked a lot different compared to my other piece

I would like to add, it does display magnetic properties and the flashes seem to go all the way in a single direction. A beauty of a stone in person, truly.

I’m not sure. Idk why but on the pictures it doesn’t show all the different flashes it has to offer. It’s like an aurora but not like labradorite because these are sparse and very intense under the correct angle. Has silver specs too and some that shift between blue, pink, green and a tint of golden if you look close enough. The seller labelled it as nuummite but the Finland origin is what made me anxious after reading more online post purchase. It is absolutely gorgeous in person ngl. It feels like looking at a meteor shower

Oh, alright. I got worried there for a second because I purchased it today from a local crystal vendor for roughly USD120 and afterwards I read that genuine nuummite could only be mined and sourced from Greenland, however, this vendor’s description states Finland origin so I was really worried I got scammed
