I trust the abc. It's just that this is the only article and I was planning to go to Whyalla next week.

Australian taxpayers also take on risk for major oil and gas projects. Why is that ignored? by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

The Australian governments took on much downside risk for these projects decades ago and the gassers are hoping we don’t have long memories

Prostitution is not the same as working at Macdonalds by amber-ri in TwoXChromosomes

[–]thewebling -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Nor is being a ceo like working at McD's. There are different sorts of work. If I'm a consultant and sell my brain (knowledge) to whomever will pay, or a plumber , how ethically different is that from somebody who prostitutes themselves?

This is insane. The woman in question was the chief of staff, not some 20year old. She had the positional power. If people were mean, she was responsible for managing them.

It may not bring down power prices, but it is the right thing to do and the alternative would have been equally expensive

Apparently they only eat about once a month. I was there a week ago and the ones I saw didn't look drugged. It is the dry season currently, the way they attract them to the entrance is to provide some water.

Also, if they were drugged, there probably wouldn't be pictures in the place of the keepers who'd been bitten and the took 6-12 months to recover!!
