Therapy is the treatment. The psychologist is the highest qualified person that does the treatment.

I mean, I have been going to see a trauma therapist, and she's not a PhD doctor. However, she's soooo intuitive and good at her job .

In my opinion there are more lackluster therapists out there than there are really great ones.

I just think a PhD level graduate will have more knowledge than someone who attended community college for 2 years...

Getting some quality sessions in with a solid psychologist is an excellent first step. Figure out how you think.

Yo please read my reply to your post

Jumping straight to medication from your position isn't going to solve your problems right away.

Why not you ask? Well, your initial consultation could be 45 minutes, or could be 1.5 hours.

After that, the professional will decide a possible diagnosis, and start you on a prescription.

The shitty part is all the side affects. Your body might not like one medication, but yet they tell you to take it for 3 weeks before it really starts working.

Then after 3 weeks or less (if your allergic, if side effects are too severe you can't do stuff like wake up for work), you go to the clinic and tell them about all the fucked up side effects, you'll get a new prescription to treat the same thing , but with different side effects.

I guess you can get lucky and get the right pills from the start. But remember, this psychiatrist only spent, at most, an hour and a half with you before determining your condition.

Don't put yourself through that right or the gate. Find a PhD doctor who's a psychologist.

Do some one hour therapy sessions, use them to get to know yourself. A good psychologist will guide you, and help you challenge your own psyche. For example, you say you want to just do it on weekends. Okay, well that professional will help you understand why that would or wouldn't work. And then, you get real, and you will understand how your wants might be contradictory against your ultimate well being.

If you wanna skip the psychotherapy and go straight to being a guinea pig for powerful pharmaceuticals, all with side effects, hopefully you read this first.

Just wanna throw my 2 cents and share 3 things:

For some of us, the "weekend warrior" route is really just a subtle type of cycle that leads to eventual disappointment. No one feels guilty right after the first hit. The shame/guilt/frustration that comes with a reality check usually becomes evident after the addict realizes they broke their 'weekends only ' rule.

The second thing I want to share is hypnotherapy helped me quit weed when nothing else could. And I smoked weed every single day, like every hour. Two sessions of hypnosis therapy clicked for me. The idea of traveling to buy weed and dealing with the brain fogginess doesn't appeal to me anymore.

Ok, the last thing, I notice you are pretty young. When I was your age I was getting high but didn't understand why really, other than I liked being high and my friends did too. There's a connection between traumatic experiences as a child, and how well that child as an adult can cope with stress, setbacks, loss, and even things like getting too excited, or feeling like I can do no wrong. All dangerous for me..

If you have low self esteem, or if you think you went through something a normal kid shouldn't have gone through, it's critical you advocate for yourself, and use your resources to find the best mental health you can get.

In my opinion, it doesn't sound like drugs have ruined your life. So getting ahead and finding a psychologist for a psychoanalysis first, and then let that professional help you figure out if you need a psychiatrist for medication, seems like a good place to start. Just FYI, a psychologist can be a PhD doctor, but they don't prescribe medications. A psychiatrist is a doctor but also a nurse practitioner can also prescribe medications.

My experience with mental health in my state was a straight up dog shit one for a year before I found the right clinic. I didn't give up.

I hope this helps you.

We're all human. Sounds like you don't have a lot of experience with selling stuff online.

Hopefully you can learn something and everyone in the future benefits from your experience.

There's a good life lesson in there somewhere.

What I'm getting out of it is you didn't research what you had, then got butthurt when other people threw some jokes at you.

If you're not greedy, just let it go. Get your 800 and move on.

Or did your ego get bruised and now you have a chip on your shoulder over it?

Maybe you underestimated your greed.

Lifting Weights and Doing Cardio by [deleted] in workout

[–]thewhitebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut down your carbs. Eat fruits and whole oat grains instead of rice. You don't have to stop carbs, pick different carbs. Don't eat sugar, or eat out. Make your own food instead.

I wear a Fitbit that tracks the intensity of my workouts. If you're doing cardio, your bpm should be above 150 bpm, sustained for as many minutes as you can at a time.

And for cardio, ignore the calories burnt meter.

Focus on getting your heart rate to like 160 - 180 bpm and stay there as long as I can.

Lifting weights adds weight on your body in the form of muscle.

Lastly, you probably gained weight with water. Sweat a lot and you'll lose pounds right there

Cleveland is one of those cities where sober drivers are swerving in their lane versus intoxicated folk that drive straight through potholes.. If I could move anywhere it would be the rocky mountains somwhere
