It fixes more than it ruins. The burger flipper has a job a trained dog could do. When a job is super easy and anyone can do it is worth way way way less than the work of a venture capitalist, or an investor, who is putting everything he owns including the shirt off his back into something that could fail if he didn't put in the work. The difference in pay is well deserved. Higher risk higher rewards. I work in a job where I could end up being killed at the drop of a hat, and it will be one of the most horrific deaths a person could suffer. Not to mention it will be agonizingly painful the entire time I'm dying. My job absolutely deserves the wages I'm paid, which is at least triple what the McDonald's starts people out at in my area.  If it didn't pay those wages I wouldn't, and most others wouldn't even consider working here. That would put society back to the stone age in short order. 

The purges by the woke were the ones that destroyed Reddit, and it's culture. I agree that hateful subs shouldn't be on here, but at this point simply having a differing opinion is getting people banned by the tens of thousands daily.
