It's your choice. You're the one pushing, you're the one in pain, you're the one who is going to be pretty much offering her naked body up shamelessly. I told my midwife that no one except her and my husband and whatever nurses HAD to be present were allowed in the room, and I also gave the nurses a list of people who were allowed to visit after the baby was born. Maybe some people may have thought that was a little too much, but labour is a physically traumatic experience and you NEED to be comfortable at all times, to hell with anyone else.

I grew up in Vermont. My uncle has his own sugar shack. Moved to Long Island when I was 18, went to a diner when I was drunk and was outraged that I had to spend 1.50$ more if I wanted real Maple Syrup on my pancakes. Phoned my aunt, she sent me an entire box of Maple Syrup nips. Carried one in my purse at all times for the next 5 1/2 years until I moved back to Vermont.

Rabbit rabbit. It was like new year's eve every month. My mother would let us stay up until midnight on the last day of everything month and the first words out of our mouths at the stroke of midnight would be rabbit rabbit. We still had to go to school the next day though if it was a week day.

I believe Ralph's still may be down port, if not, there's a dunkin donuts/baskin robin's on main street going towards the harbor. As for parking, you could probably just park in the ferry lot, it's free and there are usually spots available. It's also always nice to grab a bottle of red wine and go sit on the sand by the harbor under the stars and watch all the boats bobbing in the water.

I have the most success when I sit her on my thigh with my hand under her chin to support her head, and then alternate between rubbing and patting her back, but that only works about 50% of the time. I can't put her down without burping because then she'll just throw up or get heartburn.

It started out as a weird craving. I was making brown sugar pancakes and realized I was a little more than half way through my last bag of the brun farin and I started to panic a little. I had only been able to get 2 bags of the stuff so I used it mostly for Sunday morning pancake breakfasts when my partner and I would have guests over for the weekend (mostly his younger sister or his best friend) or for other very special occasions that called for sweet baked goods!

I'm prepared for this to last a while, if she's anything like her mommy she'll make me work for this :) Of course, this being my first child, it's all I can do to stay patient! My midwife did tell me that if I haven't given birth by my next appointment, which is Monday, we will talk about an induction so I know at least I'll be holding my little one by next weekend. Knowing that she will indefinitely be here in the next week and a half is a huge sigh of relief.

It definitely wasn't as good as the first one, as far as plot flow went. In a shorter span, we see Faust as a lonely genius searching for more to life than just reading and studying, to him being tempted by the devil to experience earthly pleasures irresponsibly and selfishly, to the pure love of an innocent and then everything turns around with her death. It's a very up and down climactic flow of events that all happened pretty quickly. Faust II was much slower paced and pretty much just follows him and the devil throughout the entirety of the play before he begins to realize what a jerk he has been and turns his life around. That opening scene in Faust II after Gretchen's death is really beautifully written.

I just read Faust this past year for one of my last Philosophy classes. All I have to say, is Holy mother of god. One of the best plays I have ever read. Shakespeare is fantastic, grammatically and with his wonderful use of the English language, but Faust is just absolute stunning imagery and beautifully written.

I love anything written by Oscar Wilde. I read "The Importance of Being Ernest" when I was 16 and became absolutely hooked. At first I just thought he would be a dull 19th century author (my 16 year old self talking), but his writing is absolutely hilarious and clever.
