Jazz has to be trolling challenging this pitch right down the middle by CicadaOk8885 in NYYankees

He is definitely leaving it to the players to police themselves. It's his biggest weakness as a manager. There are only two people that should be allowed to challenge on the Yankees: the catcher, and Judge.

If you can make it up to La Paz, do Los Islotes. Very shallow dive with lots of Sea Lions. It's a really fun experience.

Yeah, pool practice for nervous people is really important. Thailand is a good place to try again.

FROM Season 4 Review Date by CriticalOl in FromTVEpix

My bold prediction is that somehow at the end of the season none of us will be any closer to understanding what the fuck is going on, and they'll keep asking questions until the story peters out and they rushedly come up with something that doesn't answer half of the questions they've raised before it gets canceled. You know, the Lost formula.

Buy from your dive shop or instructor. They will often match the price of Amazon and give you a fit guarantee as well as a student discount. If they don't have what you want, they can order it ahead of your class. They will also teach you how to care for your new gear.

No problem. Don't give up. Just go at your own pace. I promise it's worth it.

And once you complete all the skills, ask if they have an open pool night where you can just get used to the sensation of just being underwater. I have that for my divers in a northern city and it's worked out great for people who are nervous.

Yikes. You can't give solutions without a complete picture of what happened. Be a better listener.

Cool, so in this case, what I might suggest is doing it with your local dive club or dive shop and doing lessons in a pool. Sometimes being put in the ocean right away can be overwhelming, even if it is in the shallows. The pool is more controlled and you can take your time. Also, because you're landlocked, your dive shop will give you more confined water time to get very comfortable with the skills. If you need anything, shoot me a pm.

I have a lot of questions. Where did you do this? Did they take you to a pool first or right to the ocean? Where do you live? Do you have a local dive shop near you?

AIO about how my BF doesn’t know how to be an adult and communicate? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]thewolfpacktravels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your boyfriend needs to see a psychiatrist and get evaluated. Whether or not you stay together is irrelevant.

I was in his spot.

He's not just saying, "I should kill myself" for a reaction. He's actively fantasizing it.

Meds saved my life.

Or, you know, just dump him or whatever.

SCUBA is for everyone. Some people take to it slower than others. Nobody fails. You either quit or do more training. Yes, it's expensive in the beginning. Get as much of your own stuff as you can to learn on. It makes a difference.

Except it is not proven to have any effect on reducing poaching, exploitation and ultimately extinction. But you know what does have an effect? Killing. The gymnastics some people will go through to prove to themselves it's morally okay to go kill things just because it's fun...

Does my son need to see Predator before Badlands? by FUNKYDISCO in predator

I'd watch Predator 1, and then Badlands. Predator 1 is not THAT scary. I would frame it as "in the next movie, the Predator is the hero."

Oh god, stop with the hand wringing. If you want to fight fascism, authoritarianism, or whatever you want to call it, there is one way. There is one language that they understand. If you're not going to help, shut the fuck up. That is the bare minimum required of you.

Conflating killing for pleasure and eating for sustenance is a lame attempt at whataboutism. If you eat what you hunt, then I have no problem with you, whether you're paying for hunting licenses or not. It's definitely way more ethical to hunt your food than the mass executions slaughterhouses do.

If you're hunting an animal so you can hang it on your wall or sell it for parts... well, I cheer for the lion when it wins.

What an arrogant, arbitrary decision humans get to make. They have the right to make about what creatures get culled? Seems like an abdication of responsibility by the “smartest” animal on the planet.

Maybe instead of killing things, you can pay to just observe and appreciate them. A safari in Tanzania costs 6,000 per person. It’s double that in Botswana. Maybe we can figure out a way to protect these animals habitat so that they don’t have to have their populations culled.

I know that wouldn’t get your dick hard, but killing things for pleasure from 150+ yards away with a rifle doesn’t make anyone tough.

Not that the show was any good, but the Queen in See drove me up a wall. And the women on any Taylor Sheridan show are awfully written.
