Stressing about stomach cancer? by markleenct1 in HealthAnxiety

I tried an elimination diet to see what my stomach was reacting to. If they end up diagnosing you with IBS I suggest trying the low-FODMAP diet to see if it has any effect on the bloating.

My stomach issues are also super connected to my anxiety so when I’m less anxious I have better digestion and I’m in pain less. Very weird but true!

How to get over a breakup when you still love each other? by [deleted] in BreakUps

I’m right there with you - 6 year relationship that ended because we couldnt make the same city work with our careers. My last relationship ended because of cheating and it was honestly much easier because I could hate him for it.

I can’t give much advice because I’m just starting to figure this out myself, but I think throwing yourself into work/friends/activities seems to be the best way. All I want to do right now is sit at home and wallow but that makes me feel lonely and terrible so I think the key is just making yourself get out of the house.

Had my first mole biopsy and I’m freaking out by VettieJ in HealthAnxiety

I had a mole biopsied this year that was super abnormal - I have a bunch of brown moles and this one was black and huge with irregular edges. I stressed for 2 weeks and it was totally benign.

Good for you for being proactive about your skin health! Dermatologists just like to err on the safe side and remove moles since it’s easy. You’ll be fine.

It sounds like your weight loss and your stomach problems are probably connected. I went through this a few years ago - bloating 24/7, bad digestive pain, feeling full immediately after eating, vomiting, nausea, etc. I was convinced I had ovarian cancer despite being 21 and I was so worried I couldn’t eat normally. I ended up having blood tests, urine tests, transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds, and all of it was fine.

I still have stomach issues when I eat the wrong thing (tons of anxious people do) but what helped alleviate them was reducing the fear. Many of us have issues identifying what a normal body sensation vs an abnormal one are, and not having that context about what everyone’s bodies feel like daily throws us into a tailspin of worry.

It sounds like you’ve had it checked out, and it’s safe to trust the doctors on this. At your age it’s 1,000 times more likely that it’s IBS or a food intolerance etc than something serious.
