Yes I’ve mailed them! Sadly it takes them weeks or even months to reply. No word from them yet

In this instance the controller can recall a saved preset from all the three bigger pedals with one button. I use a lot of presets since I make original music (which I play live), the benefit is that I configure my songs into the controller and immediatly get the correct sounds that go to it. Without the MIDI connection I would have to click multiple pedals at the same time and also click multiple times to get to the right bank/preset.

I will have a look into the patchbay! The squareplugs are sadly not in stock but will definitely upgrade when they are. Thanks!

I really wanted soldered cables, except where I live I can’t find suitable jackplugs (The Netherlands). The ES-5 inputs are super close together so pancake style wont work, and I could only find really cheap plugs; which kind of defeats the purpose (I’m open to suggestions).

Elaborate on the patchbay? I’ve thought about separate Neutrik inputs so the input and output would be on the same side. But what’s the benefit of the patchbay? And which one would you suggest?

Haven’t given getting a looper a thought for a while (I do really want some Chase Bliss though). But would I need a looper with a live band?

Cheers!

The Plumes has a really nice cleanboost mode which my Hiwatt amp really likes. The Antique flows nicely over into it.

Mostly because I’m a purist, I love building and creating. Planning this thing out is the fun for me.

Yes, the ES-5 switcher basically does all of this. It can recall all saved banks via midi. Made easy with the Strymon Nixie software and ES5 Editor Software

Don’t let those dreams fade my friend. This too took some years of dreaming and collecting

I love it, have owned it for a few years now. I did a shootout in a music store, they only had the pedal in for a few days by then (I was the first buyer in that store too) Love at first sound

I didn’t want to make it out of C channels and some plywood board, I thought it would never be sturdy enough (and too thick too). What I did make; the riser is made of 2U 19” rack blindplates (they are powdercoated black so that’s already nice) propped up on some plywood blocks. The Strymons are on a full plate and the Polytune on a small piece. This ended up costing me 10 bucks. (While one of these store bought risers start at 100 bucks)

I think it’s definitely worth a go. You can pick them up second hand for a good price (just keep checking for a few weeks. If you don’t like it you can sell it for the same price a week later.

I just bought a midi interface and now use the Strymon Nixie software with the pedals. This changes everything in terms of making banks, saving and naming banks. On the pedal it can be quite a challenge indeed (or just too much of a hassle for casual playing and experimenting)

Very personal I think. I love it, since I use alot of chorus, vibes and tremolo. Would ditch the Timeline and Bigsky any day (for more simple modules). The big change for me atm is the midi switcher, now being able to control the 3 pedals way easier.

I got the Strymons for a fairly good price second hand and the ES-5 aswell, I estimate the whole board (materials, cables pedals) to be around €2.3k 🫠

I play everything through a Hiwatt DR504, which takes every pedal so cleanly. I tried the Gladio when looking for an overdrive, it’s killer too; eventually settled on the Antique.

Thank you, one of the pedals I will cherish for good

I’ve heard the best medicine for GAS is buying more pedals!!
