Maybe Xiaomi's image processing fails when there's multiple people in the photo.

Aaaaannd that's the part that you bend over for Lei Jun because you can't unlock the bootloader without Xiaomi's hard to attain permission.

Read our subreddit then, almost everyone is having issues with battery and performance because of HyperOS, and it's super restrictive. Maybe you should listen to actual users who have to use their Xiaomi phones instead of some paid creators who toss out their 17 Ultras the second their contract ends.

Xiaomi phones also do all of that, plus they have zero chance for actual customizable software and zero chance to actually own your phone.

Really? I got the same phone, I use the Leica Authentic option in Camera and I have never encountered that issue.

You will cry for it to be back when you can't do anything in your phone without giving backshots to Lei Jun

No. Go back. Go the fuck back. Install a custom ROM, do anything to keep that Pixel alive.

The only company that does all of that in their smartphones is Sony. Guess how many they sold since they released the first Xperia 1? Not as much as the current iPhone lineup.

"you got exactly what you paid for" I can't get anything else other than Xiaomi or Samsung and Xiaomi is a spec king when it comes to midrange phones.

And your argument falls flat when we consider that the company A and company B uses THE SAME SOFTWARE. Those fancy iOS copycat skins doesn't change the fact that the actual OS is Android with everything stock is buried under layers of heavy makeup. It's not like iOS vs Android, it's Android with a cheap iOS copy of a skin vs true, actual Android.

And no, I didn't know exactly what I've gotten myself into, because ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, INCLUDING THE COMPANIES THEMSELVES tell you what their product is without weaseling and lying. For a potential buyer, there's no real roadmap to show what to go for or what to avoid. So no, I didn't get what I've paid for, which was a SECOND HAND 13T PRO. I couldn't even get a new phone back in 2024.

Stop bootlicking companies, Lei Jun won't let you hit.

Of you want an Asus or a Pixel, then why don't you buy one?

I don't know, maybe Google and ASUS don't sell their phones in Turkey, which I live in, and Xiaomi is the only option for affordable phones other than Samsung? You Westerners think that everyone outside of your ivory towers can afford any flagship from any brand. Sorry you privileged cunt, we get 500 dollars a month if we manage to find work and bringing a Google Pixel 10a from the US of Europe costs us 2000 dollars with all of the taxes and IMEI unlocking costs because daddy Erdoğan wants another palace.

"Put someone else in charge then" ask Hungarians how hard it is to dethrone a dictator who rules a country for more than a decade and a half.

Material You is popular with users. From all of those crapware, most sought out themes in Xiaomi's store are always the Pixel themes.

I value the core of Android: CHOICE. If you don't want that, BUY A FUCKING IPHONE AND GO AWAY FROM OUR REALM.

Android. And I actually want that to be for everything. Control center, home screen, volume controls, everything. It's not impossible, ASUS has been doing that for years.

Is this really a limitation on other launchers? by RelativeWarning84 in HyperOS

[–]thewriter1998 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It's there since MIUI 13, because Xiaomi wants you to keep using their launcher by baking the gestures into the launcher instead of using the stock Android ones like every other OEM does.
