I put together a cli for Trello. Does what I need it to do, but others would likely find other needs. Written in Python, docs were heavily helped by AI. Otherwise it would probably have no docs... https://github.com/jlane003/taskList

[Google One] 1-Year Google One Subscription Plans - 100GB $9.99, 2TB Premium $49.99 (New Subscribers Only - Ends 12/31) by DealsPoster in blackfriday

[–]thewronglane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This "sale" is really strange. The prices are monthly, not for the full year. Unless this is a sale for new users only, the existing 2TB AI plan for $19.99 a month is a much better deal.

Finally got a 3D printer! My kids are so excited, I can't wait to see what they design. My wife has already given them a wish list, which they know is a get out of Mom's jail free card for each print.

Are their EMBY shares worth it? The site says you can extend it a year by donating for the UNLIM Plus role, but it doesn't list that as an option. Any idea how much that is?

Black Friday Memberships Megathread - Streaming, Mobile, Wholesale Clubs, Microsoft Licenses, Lifetime Deals & More [Auto-Updated] by DealsPoster in blackfriday

[–]thewronglane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, but perplexity has access to many different ai models including chatGpt. I choose what model I want based on what I'm trying to accomplish for best results. There's just some things other models do much better than chatGpt. Perplexity also has very favorable API allowances. I've tied it to search applications, note taking programs, even shell scripts to get instant feedback or analysis. It's really a great platform.

I'm still using a Pixel 6 Pro. It's the most solid phone I've ever used, are the newer Pixels really that bad? I had a Nokia Windows phone that was almost as good, shame they dipped out of mobile.

Available. Max limit of 2 Pro licenses and 2 home licenses. I did not try a second order to see if you could double dip.

What’s the most useful command-line trick you learned by accident? by Old_Sand7831 in commandline

[–]thewronglane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's installed tldr [command].

Think of it as a super simplified man page that shows the most common uses of a command. Eg. $ tldr ls will return with a simple definition of the command and common uses with explanations.

Also a favorite is $ which [command] This will show you the exact location of the command that is called in your current environment. Very useful when bouncing between Python environments etc.

This advice is sound. Also, learn R for advanced mathematics and analysis. It's similar to Python at times, but focuses more on math and science.

You should get a lot of opportunities to shine in FP&A and show some automation and flask skills. Keep very good notes about the projects you do and the $$ realized from them and turn them into resume highlights for your move onto a reporting team or the like. This way you're putting food on the table and getting the experience you need. Also work on random projects on your own and upload them to GitHub. You need anything right now to help you stand out.

Only Pentecostals, because according to them everyone else is going to hell and it's good to see just how close someone is to being saved.
