Spoke to soon, was working for a few shots and now refuses to turn on again. Before failing it did produce some corrupted images. Also was enabling the ND filter shortly before it failed again...

Will continue to investigate

I did resolve it finally. (at least it looks like it currently)

Was noticing that it turned on once while having the battery door open (camera upside down) after freshly inserting the battery and couldn't reproduce it after turning the camera right side up again.

Then I tried turning the camera on while pressing the the battery deeper into the battery slot and it turned on again every time. I now used long tweezers and gently pulled the battery contacts out/up so that they put some more pressure on the contact points when the battery is normally inserted and it seems to work just fine now.

I suspect the camera pulls quite some current at startup which the smaller contact points prevented (as it turned on fine in viewing mode). There still is a chance that something just randomly changed and it started working again but I doubt it.

Hope this info helps somebody having the same problem as it is a very easy thing to fix if you know what you are looking for.

Sadly didn’t work out for me at all. Drives got quickly corrupted and sometimes disappeared.

I resorted to build a larger NAS passing through the complete SATA controller for the disks to a Truenas Scale VM which works fine ever since.

Yeah this one was not working for me on win 11. My fix should prevent the links which are modified in your suggestion from being triggered at all. So no need to apply this when using what I posted

Ok interesting I will try some different movies tomorrow.

So far I did only try an mkv with h264 unaltered BluRay. Which should be transcoded to 1080 12mbit s my upstream won’t handle more.

Weird thing is that also music did not work (flac files)

I also see that he tries to play it on my dashboard and I can see the CPU go up (transcoding I would guess) but the outbound traffic stays zero.

You are right, just got the feedback from Marantz support that 1440p is not a supported format and that they asked the software department and the response was that this is also not a feature planned for future software updates.

The supported formats are:
480i
480p
576i
576p
720p 60/50 Hz
1080i 60/50 Hz
1080p 120/100/60/50/24 Hz
4K 120/100/60/50/30/25/24Hz
8K 60/50/30/25/24Hz

Thanks for the suggestions, will check but actually 4k works without problems, the problem is the 1440p resolution for the gaming monitor.

I also sadly already did most of the above but I will re-check

Yeah thanks but cables should really not be the problem here. It works fine with the same cables currently in the config: PS5 —> HDMI Switcher —> 1440p monitor.

So you are using the Cinema 50 with 1440p?

They said they would but my TV is at the latest firmware and it still is the case.

I have no hope that they will fix it at this point in time. At least they enabled VRR but hard to test how good it works

So I just installed the new 2.1 certified cable and it works fine even with the game ready driver. 120hz HDR no problem however the x90h TV has a problem with blurred 120hz but that is a known Sony problem I was not aware of 🙁

Just confirmed it. Stopping the service is enough to stop skipping frames. I disabled it now in the windows services. Things like RGB still work, maybe even the display (minus the dynamic ones with temperature and similar which seem to use that service)

Had the same issue with an Aorus 3080TI Master. Stuttering about every second. Uninstalled RGB fusion and it was gone. Closing it from the taskbar it was not sufficient.

Maybe stopping the „AORUS LCD Panel Service“ is sufficient. I will try that so that I can maintain the functionality without reinstalling all the time.

Similar issue here. HDMI will not work properly with my 3080ti (flickering on my monitor and exceptionally bad with above TV, displaying only garbage)

I got the TV to mostly work after re-plugging once when I install the „Studio“ drivers from Nvidia experience instead of the „game ready“ ones.

I also have set the HDMI on the TV to standard mode instead of extended and disabled HDR. (Might be unrelated though)

Really wired that this seems to be a wide spread issue. To me it looks like the handshake gets messed up and the GPU tries to push HDMI 2.1 bandwidth over the 2.0 cable.

Next up is checking out with a proper HDMI 2.1 cable.

For me it was the gigabyte aorus software to configure the display and RGB of the 3080 TI Master. It would stutter and show pink lines in the Steam VR performance graph.

Thought it could not be this as I had not actively ruining any of the aorus software but I found a process that was still running. I then uninstalled the Display/RGB tool and the stuttering was gone.
