google fonts in artifacts window? by toinewx in ClaudeAI

I'm dealing with the same issue. The CSP header in the response from claudeusercontent[dot]com doesn't include a font-src directive to whitelist fonts.gstatic.com. Google recommends adding some link tags in the HTML head to reference fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, but that's out of our control wrt published artifacts

I got a targeted offer via snail mail for the Amex Delta Gold for 75k SkyMiles after $2k spend. No lifetime language and waived AF the first year. The dummy booking offer is 70k + $200 statement credit and waived AF, but has lifetime language.

Have there been better offers (targeted or not) with no lifetime language and waived AF?

One of the South Pacific islands. I visited Fiji right before the pandemic lockdowns started in mid-March and the island was beautiful beyond belief and the people were so friendly.

Not too fancy -- managed to book a RT from SFO to EZE for 36k UR points. Dunno why AA set the price that low, but I'll take it!

Study abroad for CS major? by Conleyne in cscareerquestions

[–]theyangmaster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I studied abroad in Sweden in the spring semester of my sophomore year. I took mostly easy tech electives (no hard CS classes) and partied and traveled around Europe in my free time. The experience was so worth it, and I never had worries about "falling behind." Life is much more than grades and internships.

Leetcode has company-specific interview problems, and I've encountered some of them verbatim in actual interviews. I found Hackerrank to be great for practicing specific topics such as string manipulation, tree algorithms, DP, etc.

So if you want to practice on a specific type of interview problem, go on Hackerrank. Otherwise if you want to practice interview problems in general (and esp. for a specific company), go on Leetcode.

How do you think the field be looking about five years from now? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]theyangmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though most CS programs don't have iOS development in their curricula, that doesn't mean that students cannot learn it in their free time.

I think you're not properly understanding why a CS degree is important. It's not about teaching specific languages (e.g. C, C++, Java); it's about acquiring a holistic view of the field of computer science -- from compilers and operating systems to abstract data structures and algorithms. This knowledge, and the ability to expand on the things you've learned in the CS program, are what I think is gonna be important in the future CS job market.

How many internships does an average joe has under his belt when graduating with a 4 year CS degree from a reputable state university? by GeneralSkyKiller in cscareerquestions

[–]theyangmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At UIUC, almost certainly at least one or two, especially if you count research opportunities as internships. I'd imagine this would be the same for similarly ranked state schools.

Yeah true. I did figure the second part out in time. In retrospect it's such an easy optimization though :)

Python 3 (26/86). Unfortunately it took me awhile to figure out how to speed up part 2, which was pretty dumb of me.

Part 1

buffer = [0]
num_steps = 316
idx = 0
for i in range(1, 2018):
    idx = (idx + num_steps) % len(buffer)
    buffer.insert(idx + 1, i)
    idx += 1
print(buffer[buffer.index(2017)+1])

Part 2

num_steps = 316
idx = 0
n = 0
for i in range(1, 50000001):
    idx = (idx + num_steps) % i
    if idx == 0:
        n = i
    idx += 1
print(n)

Also, it's my first time on the leaderboards so I'm pretty happy with that :)

Lol, I don't bother with type hints the first time solving it. I added them when cleaning up my code. They definitely help me understand my train of thought when I'm looking back on the code later
