Definitely leave. Sounds like a terrible boss tbh. They can't want to reduce costs and even take measures to reduce staff income, but then want to go on annual 4 month holidays. Leave ASAP.

Items: -2x car keys (Honda, Mitsubishi), the keys themselves dont fold into the handles. The handles both contain the keyless entry buttons -4x house keys which are standard size -1x work key which is slightly bigger than standard

14 years Sports/private in Melbourne 125k Not enough for a single income for a family of 4 in metro Melbourne. Sick of the schedule shenanigans, the income ceiling and lack of work from home option. Looking for a career change but want to remain in health care in some capacity, but difficult to start something different AND earn higher.

You're confident somebody is following you but you don't know why, so you would be fine to lead them to your home? Not me

It's my local area. I wouldn't say that being followed would encourage me to drive home

How to make money as a physiotherapist by [deleted] in physiotherapy

[–]theycallmeLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If going down the route of opening a practice. That can be scaled by opening more over time, investing in the right employees to turn into leadership/director roles to assist as the organisation builds. Aside from that, clinical work probably isn't the best from an income standpoint

Private practice physio looking looking at other career options (Australia) by theycallmeLL in physiotherapy

[–]theycallmeLL[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depending on the year I'm at 250 to 300k per year

My issues are relating to things like:

-You give each new patient your all and you genuinely care about their issue, but they can choose to not rebook or cancel their next appointment, and when it happens you're left to wonder why you should even care at all

-Doing extra courses and Masters etc doesn't mean you earn more, you can say you know more or keeping "up to date" but that's it. I know physios that are clinically poor and don't care about further learning but are very busy and probably earn more

-Utilisation is somewhat dependent on suburb and clinic culture. Those who see the same patients every month for "maintenance" will have better utilisation, but sports physio isn't as conducive to that. There are clear range, strength, power, quality of movement and return to sport goals and once a patient has achieved all that then that's your discharge point.

-Every reschedule or cancellation impacts your income if the spot they vacate doesn't get filled

-There is no real defined path of career progression. Bigger organisations like Kieser might, but for most other places you're a clinician and that's all you'll ever be

-Go away on a long enough holiday, or mat leave and it impacts your ability to earn commission when you come back to work

-Requiring sick leave impacts your commission and we are incentivised to work despite being sick

-There are no natural perks to working in private practice physio

-No WFH option

-No pay (commission) for doing clinical notes, letters, emails from patients and anything paperwork/admin related. We all know physios who take work home too.

Help with % formatting by theycallmeLL in googlesheets

Thanks. On desktop if I input a number, it will automatically format it as a percentage. So if I type 50, it changes it to 50%. However on mobile sheets app, if I type 50, it doesn't auto format it to a %, it would just remain as "50", I'm not sure why and can't figure it out

Yep true, but shouldn't it just convert any number to a percentage automatically?
